Okay, things have reached a new level of rediculous. I walked into my room after getting out of choir last night to find my roomie and Lara watching heros, and said hello, as I normally do. Lara didn't even aknowledge my existance. I ended up leaving and going to Marius' and Brennan's room because it was too awkward. I took a quick survey of everyone else, to see if they knew why Lara was so mad, and apparently she's being like this to everyone (except Christina). I think it was Derek that said he waved and said hello to her, and she didn't say anything but instead made one of her classic "I'm mad at you and not talking to you faces." And yes, she has a face for that. So I think I'm going to try and get ahold of her later today to talk this out, because it's gone too far. She has no right to be this mad at me over something that's not my fault. The others she has a bit of a right to be annoyed with, but 1.) she's overreacting, 2.) she's at fault too and the source of her own problems, 3.) she needs to realize that the others just don't like her. Talking to her probably isn't going to be pretty, because I'm going to have to tell her a lot of things she's not going to want to hear. I just hope she listens to me....

Good luck. I admire you for taking the time to try and explain. And you are right, she probably will not listen.

It's worth a shot. I'd hate to lose a friend over a stupid misunderstanding.

*hugs JF* Good luck, I hope you can talk some sense into her.

Thanks :) I did talk to her today, and explained what was really going on, and she's okay now, so peace has been restored. :)

You were so kind to take the time to be a great friend. I hope she took it in the spirit it was given... from the heart.

Yeah, it seems a lot of it was just little things that she thought were being done specifically to her, but were in fact just the way we normally act towards everyone.

However, I'm now in a rather upsetting state of distressed. Don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but on my first bio quiz I got a 50. Anyone who knows me knows I wasn't exactly happy about that. I also mentioned that I spent the entire weekend studying my butt off for the quiz on Monday. I got a 62. The class average on both was a 60-something. I'm pretty sure that is most of the class is failing quizzes, that's a reflection on the teacher's skills, not the students' skills. And there were a couple questions on the quiz that most peope got wrong, and one that the teacher himself brought up because so many people got it wrong. Not only was the question totally irrelevant to our knowledge of cellular biology (it was a question about which scientists were the first or second to look at DNA as a transforming agent or something. This is biology, not history.), but EVERYONE in the class agrees the question was too vague and easy to misunderstand. So now I'm upset, to say the least. Four quizzes are 25% of our grade, lab is 25% of our grade, and two exams are 50% of our grade. If the exams are anything like the quizzes, I'm screwed.

Oh my!

I can understand how you are worried. When you have these kind of exams and tests to look forward to, this makes the studying so much harder. You have no idea how to study. I hope the teacher grades on a curve.

No curves, no extra credit, nothing. He fails as a teacher. Hopefully I'll be able to get ahold of my other academic advisor soon and get this all fixed.

So I've got some good news today: The heat finally broke, bringing much needed rain and below 70 degree weather. And I'm able to meet with my advisor tomorrow afternoon. ^_^ So that's all good. Also good: I get to see Phil a week from tomorrow! ^_^ I'm going home next week for a driving test on Saturday, and my sister has an open house at Phil's college (becase she's hoping to transfer there), so being that I'm going to be in the car anyways, i'm going to hang out with Phil while they're at the open house. And that makes me happy. ^_^

Have a great weekend. I can hear your heart speeding up already.

Not sure if it posted or not, the internet died for a moment, so I'm re-posting. Anyways, yeah, I'm going to *try* to get my liscence. No guarantees. I'm pretty nervous about it. And I'm really looking forward to seeing Phil. ^_^ I'll see him over winter break too, and if I have my liscence that will be easier. So I have motivation now.

I just got back from talking to my advisor, and he's totally on my side. It looks like I'm probably going to withdraw from the class, but there are some people I need to talk to, including the science department chair (because the teacher I have a problem with is a science teacher) and the provost (about my scholarship, to make sure it's not in jeopardy). So I'm making progress, little by little. And in even better news, IT'S THE WEEKEND! ^_^ (Hey, I need to have something to be happy about).

Wish I could've sent some of that rain from last night your way. We had a terrible storm and had a power outage for 4 and a half hours...

Hope things go well with your adviser, something needs to change about that bio teacher.

Yeah, so, talked to the bio department chair today. She was not helpful at all. She's pretty convinced that the problem is me, not the teacher. And also that ALL the bio classes require that specific form of fact memorization that not only am I not good at, but does not help you learn or understand anything. So at this point I'm considering switching my bio major over to psych. Be a high school psychologist or something. I kinda like psych better anyways.... We'll see what happens. I still need to see the provost about my scholarship...

That Department Chair appears to need a frontal lobotomy. Psych is great and you would love the field. Besides, you can hang your own shingle out and have your own business. I have a friend who is a psychologist and he is the coolest guy, has his own office and makes his profession work for him.

I hope that works better.

Haha really. And taking psych instead of bio gets me out of all the chem classes that I would have had a hard time with too.

Haha, yeah, I guess that's the thing about a bio major. My roommate is a bio major (neurologist) and he's doing chem and bio at the same time. He doesn't seem to enjoy it much at all.

Being a math major, my science is physics...mauahahaha! ^_^

I hope you will enjoy your psych journey.

You've always been brilliant in math. ^_^ If you're schedule and sanity permit it, consider an education degree as well.

I hope I enjoy my psych journey too. My mom made a good point to take some business management classes as well, which would help if I wanted a job as a principal or something. However, I also have some bad news. My grandpa (the one who has cancer) is not doing so well. They give him 3-6 months left to live. This is going to be tough on my dad, whose birthday is tomorrow. I have to make sure I call him...

I'm praying for your grandfather and everyone who has to cope with his loss

Thanks :)

I got ahold of the provost (or at least several people that work for him) and have determined that my scholarship will not be affected by withdrawing from class. I also discovered a lack of secondary ed/psych double major checksheets in with the rest of the check sheets, so I hope I can actually claim it as a legitimate double major (don't see why not). I have a meeting with my advisor tomorrow morning, and have to start picking classes for next semester asap. So hopefully all that will go well.

Sounds like you are opening some new doors and will get what you want. What are the benefits of claiming a double major or having a major and a minor?

Thanks. :) When I called my dad, he had just landed from flying, and it was a gorgeous day out, so I think he had a good day despite the fact that Mom, my sister, and I are all out of state. We'll celebrate his birthday on Friday when we come home for the weekend of mass insanity.

Have you ever read the book, Tuesdays With Morrie. If you haven't read it, you should, especially now.

Nothing like putting pressure on soon-to-be teachers. I had no idea.

You don't also need a minor as well, do you?

lol really. Actually, the required double major is one of the reasons I picked this college. Speaking of that, I talked to my advisor this morning, he supports my idea of taking the psych second major, but I have to get all sorts of crazy permissions and stuff like that. Basically, psych isn't listed as a double major for secondary ed because you can't get a job just teaching psych (or at least it's really hard) without having some other degree in, like, history or science or something. However, I'm planning more on the counseling idea, and if I'm going to be working with high school aged kids, I'd like the secondary ed degree too. So the idea is that instead of psych being the second major to my secondary ed, the secondary ed is more like the sedond major to my psych. If that makes sense. In the mean time, I need to get permission to resgister for my psych classes (because I'm not yet a psych major) and then on Monday I need to talk to the associate dean of education and convince her to let me have psych as a second major. Add to this that I can start registering for classes on Friday. Oh, and I withdrew from my bio class today, so I now effectively have four-day weekends (not counting Choir Monday nights).

All education majors here are required to have a second major.

Sounds like you have had a really busy day today. Sometimes I wonder how doing something simple can take so much time and energy and running back and forth between different people. In today's world, you would think that your advisor could just email the associate dean of education and get this all accomplished in a day, instead of a week. Good luck.

Four-day weekends... yeah!!! I need a couple of those. :D

However, I also have some bad news. My grandpa (the one who has cancer) is not doing so well. They give him 3-6 months left to live. This is going to be tough on my dad, whose birthday is tomorrow. I have to make sure I call him...

Hope your father's birthday was good, even though he is having a tough time.

I will keep your grandfather, father and entire family in my thoughts, heart and prayers.

Thanks. :) When I called my dad, he had just landed from flying, and it was a gorgeous day out, so I think he had a good day despite the fact that Mom, my sister, and I are all out of state. We'll celebrate his birthday on Friday when we come home for the weekend of mass insanity.

I'm glad to hear your father had a beautiful day for being up in the skies with the birds.

Have you ever read the book, Tuesdays With Morrie. If you haven't read it, you should, especially now.

Never heard of it, actually. What's it about?

It is a really short book, that is a true story. Mitch Albom is a sports writer for The Detroit Free Press (I believe this is the correct newspaper name), and the book is about him spending Tuesday's with a professor he had when he was attending university. His story is about their meetings and the profound effect the professor had on him. I absolutely, positively guarantee you will love it and you will walk away with a deeper meaning. I do hope you get it from the library and read it. This book is one you can't put down and you will finish it in a flash.

So today was fun. ^_^ After my parents and sister found where their open house was, I went with Phil to his physics class, which was amusing because the teacher didn't even notice me. Then we went back to his room where one of his roomies and the roomie's girlfriend were hanging out, and we played mario kart, which was fun times. ^_^ We then met up with my family after the open house, and Phil showed us around some other parts of campus, and then we went out to dinner at one of the restaurants on campus (which was actually really nice). So a good time was had by all, despite the rain all day. :) And tomorrow is my driving test....o.O

Thanks! ^_^ I'm not too worried about my test. I'm not really expecting to pass it, just because I haven't driven since August. But I'm getting up early tomorrow morning to clean out the car and get some extra practice in (that didn't really happen today  ). If I don't pass, I'll just schedule another one for the middle/end of winter break. No big deal. As for Phil, he really seems to enjoy my company (and I often have a hard time telling when people enjoy my company aside from them telling me), and I enjoy his company. He even gets along really well with my parents (although my parents are pretty friendly people) So who knows? We'll see what happens over break.

I feel this warrants big obnoxious text:

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!!!!! :D

It was a lot easier than I expected (didn't even go on the highway or make a k-turn), and the guy was really nice. And my liscence picture even looks good! ^_^

This warrants a big obnoxious text in reply:

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!

I knew you would pass !!!!!

Yay! Nice job! I still have to get my license but I'm waiting until I actually need one.

And I love hanging out by playing mario kart, I wish my roomate would play with me more often but he's always busy with things when I'm not busy, and vice versa

Okay, so, now that I have some free time I can elaborate on the past few days. They've been busy. Saturday and Sunday I was at camp for Lobsterfest. My cousins came over, and that was kinda fun. Sunday I got back here (realizing I left my power cable in CT). After bringing all my stuff back into my room and saying goodbye to my mom and sister, Marius presented me with a small action figure of Cheif Chirpa (an ewok star-wars character of some sort) to congratulate me on passing my driving test and to "remind me of my heritage" (there are jokes about my living on Endor being raised by ewoks. Because apparently CT is Endor). And then a few of us saw Hairspray, which was playing on campus. Monday was lots of meetings, and yesterday was lots of classes. Today was more meetings (after finally being able to sleep in for once), and I got the paperwork filled out and signed for my major change. They won't let me do secondary education and psychology, so now I'm elementary education and psychology. I might pick up a middle school minor to have something to fall back on too. Then I had a meeting with the girl that works in the same class as me for student teaching to work out our lesson plan on photosynthesis. Then I ate dinner, and now I'm relaxing (a novel concept, I know). Later on is inter-varsity, and then hopefully an early bedtime before waking up for class in the morning.

Just to clarify... you have successfully removed Biology out of your life and replaced it with Psychology, but you cannot do secondary education and psychology, so you now are elementary education. Whoa... they sure can make things difficult and teacher's are in short supply. Sounds like they do not want additional teachers.

Haha really. I guess it's because you can't really get certified for much with a secondary ed and psych degree.

Interesting... I thought it more like this... the kids in secondary ed already have their minds made up, but with elementary ed and psych you can do more damage to those young and impressionable minds.

You would go as a social studies major, and fill up your general electives courses with psych classes. But you'd have to take lots of history type classes too as part of your requirements.

Today has been a nice day. I got to sleep in, and then met with Meagan about our psych exam project thing, then went to dinner, and then watched the last two weeks' episodes of Heros (Brennan records them on his computer). Then I put my laundry in (I'm pretty much out of clothes, since I wasn't around last weekend and thus didn't do my laundry). And I've been feeling oddly peaceful, which is good. The lack of stress is nice. :) So we'll see how long that lasts....

Hahaha :P Nah, but there's a good chance I'll get an extended battery for my comp for Christmas. Although my mom is thinking about trading in the van and getting two small cars, one of which will likely be mine. The only issue is finding a way to pay for the gas and insurance, and I have no job, partly because I have no car, which is because I can't afford it, because I don't have a job, because I don't have a car....

The lack of stress is nice. :) So we'll see how long that lasts....

So... have you asked for a car for Christmas?

*sends Jesusfreak all the dirty hammie laundry*

Hahaha :P Nah, but there's a good chance I'll get an extended battery for my comp for Christmas. Although my mom is thinking about trading in the van and getting two small cars, one of which will likely be mine. The only issue is finding a way to pay for the gas and insurance, and I have no job, partly because I have no car, which is because I can't afford it, because I don't have a job, because I don't have a car....

And if Phil wants to see you, then he can pay for your gas to visit, but that still leaves the insurance. You could always say you needed the car for those classes that you are assisting in for your degree. How does that sound? I'm pretty good at coming up with good reasons for why you need something.

Speaking of cars: Lara and I called Ian (using Lara's phone) and left a voicemail saying to come visit and all that. He called Lara's phone a little while later (I was off doing laundry) and said he can't talk now, because he was just in a really bad car accident. So I called and got his voicemail. So now I'm more than a little worried. Not just for his health, but he's a commuter taking 21 credits and has a girlfriend, and I'm pretty sure he can't afford a new car. Prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. :) He was apparently on facebook today and updated his status, so that's a good sign, but when I just tried to call him he hit what my friends call "the F___ you button" (the ignore button). So I guess he's busy.

My grandfather passed away today. It was sooner than expected, but he died peacefully. My dad has been in Florida with him since yesterday, and my mom will be joining my dad on Thursday. My sister I'm sure is pretty upset (she hasn't been doing too well in the first place, she's extremely homesick), but I'm doing alright. Marius was at my door within seconds of my telling him (I was chatting with him online when I got the phone call). So it's going to be okay.

You have my deepest sympathies. I know this is hard for you and your family. Marius is a good friend to be there for you.

You and your family will be in my heart.

The past few days have been really busy and kinda rough. I'm going to Florida on Sunday with my mom and sister, and I'll be there until Wednesday. I was in a really bad mood earlier today, but I took a nap, and my brain is slowly starting to sort its way out. I've had a lot on my mind, not just with grandpa passing, but with other stuff too. Dealing with all my upset family members is going to be rough, so I'm trying to relax as much as possible before I have to go.

We will keep you all in our prayers. Hopefully it won't be too rough. When you feel like talking, we are here for you.

When you pass my town, wave. I will be in my cage looking for you.

Thanks again. :) This will be my first time on a commercial airline, so I'm kinda excited about that. I can't say I expect it to be *fun* what with airport security and all, but it's a good experience to have. I'm really going to miss my friends while I'm gone though, I won't see them until Wednesday. Christina went home earlier tonight, so I've got the room to myself. And Marius is leaving for home tomorrow morning, so unless he gets back early on Sunday, I won't see him even tomorrow, which is sad, because out of everyone, he's been here for me the most. I hate to sound all mushy and stuff, but I honestly couldn't have expected to have a better friend. Ah well, I need to finish my day-of-trip pack list. It's amazing the things they list on the federal list of stuff you can't have in a carryon. I mean really, cattle prods? Hand grenades? Fire extinguishers?

The airline flying will be fun for you. Security is not bad. Just remember to put everything from your pockets into the little tray or into your bag. When you set off the detector, this just jams up the line.

Most important, do not carry any water bottles, coffee drinks, soda or other liquid, through security. It will be confiscated. Even if the bottles are sealed, they are confiscated. Once you get past security, they will sell these same items.

Once you are on board, if you get cold easily, make sure to bring a sweater, sweatshirt or other item to keep you warm. Blankets are many times not put on board as too many are being stolen and it costs the airline too much. So, they just decided to remove them.

Checking luggage is good as it cuts down on stuff you have to carry. Plus, it makes going through security easier.

Carry-on... now that made me laugh. Keep those cattle prods, hand grenades and fire extinguishers home. LOL You would be surprised what you will see people trying to take with them. Trust me on this one... you cannot imagine what people think is acceptable carry-on. If you are a chef and take your personal collection of knives with you when you travel, those would need to be in your checked luggage. Can you imagine the look on the faces of the security people when you tried to get through security with those??? It is just much easier when you check your bag with all those extras.

Having the room to yourself is nice on occasion, I hope Marius sees you again before you leave.

lol yeah, when I saw "meat cleavers" on there I was like, "Darn, you mean I can't bring my meat cleaver collection?" Although I am kinda bummed about not being able to have my pocketknife on me. I'll have to remember to take that out of my camera case. As for the selling beverages past the security line, gee, coca-cola corportation couldn't have has any say in that now could they? Haha. I'm probably going to keep all my stuff in one carryon if I can. It might be more annoying with security, but my dad's done it before, and that way I get to keep everything in my posession so I don't have to worry about it getting lost. It's all going in my backpacking backpack, so it won't be too tough to carry.

The stories about lost luggage are really overblown. The thing to check with your backpacking backpack is to make sure it fits in the overhead bin. Your father would know for sure about this. Just don't take anything you don't want taken away. They can xray your camera so there is no need to take it out of the case, unless the case is metal. If it is in your backpack, and you tell them you have a camera in there, then they usually will let it go through. If you are taking your laptop, be prepared to take it out of it's case, put it in a separate tub to slide through the xray machine. There are some places where after it goes through the xray machine, then you have to turn it on for one of the security agents.

As for the Coca-Cola Corporation, add Pepsi and all the others, and then imagine that this is the influence they would love to have. LOL Actually in the beginning, you were not even permitted to buy a bottle of water or any other drink, after passing through security, keep it sealed and carry it on. The good news is that they have relaxed that part. The airlines hated it because it cost them more money. People now wanted two and three drinks of water, soda, etc., when they were on the airplane. Just make sure you don't put a flammable liquid in your drinking water bottle. You probably will not make it past security. LOL Your new home will be very structured, having security bars on the doors and windows, a uniform in a colour you probably don't like, and three square meals of unedible food. Arriving at your new residence also includes any jokes or comments about how stupid the process is to one of the security agents. LOL No sense of humour with those guys.

lol really. My laptop is going inside my normal backpack, which will then go inside my big backpack, and my camera will probably be either in my hands or in a side pocket of my big backpack. And I've already got my shampoo and stuff in the quart-sized zip-lock bag, in an easily accessable outer part of my backpack so they can see it. If they really complain about it, I'll take out the small backpack and camera case, and check the rest of the big backpack, but I'd really rather not.

LOL... oh they don't complain. It is only when you get to the security checkpoint that you find the ridiculousness of some of it.

But, I can wait for your security stories. :D

Yeah, Dad sent my sister and I each an email. I was assigned to print out the passes, and she was assigned to print out the maps and directions. Although I printed out and extra copy of her stuff just in case. And I have all of that stuff saved on my computer anyways.

Okay, so Florida trip. Flying in the airplane was really cool. The taking off, being above the clouds, seeing everything, having TVs in front of every seat (which was cool not because of the TV, but because there was a channel that showed you where you were on the map, your speed, and your altitude), and all that fun stuff (I had a window seat both ways). Airport security wasn't bad, although they gave my sister a hard time at one point because she didn't have a government issued ID. Although bonus points to the airline for us landing early both times. So the whole flying thing=awesome.

On Monday I got to see all my dad's side of the family for the memorial service, which was really cool, because I don't know most of them that well. Meeting them, and hearing what my aunts had to say about grandpa at the memorial service explained a lot about myself, which was interesting.

Tuesday we went to Universal's Islands of Adventure, which was a bit of a surprise, and tons of fun. ^_^ The amount of detail they put into that park was astounding. And the roller coasters were fun times.

And today we came back. Traffic was a pain, but we stopped at Ruby Tuesday's for dinner, and the food was even better than it normally was. Although here's the irony. One thing my grandparents loved to do was go camping in their airstream trailer. At the restaurant, I got a bottle of Jones iced tea. The little image on the inside of the cap was a clip-art looking image of an airstream trailer. I have the cap in my jacket pocket now.

So now I'm back at Rider with my friends, who I missed greatly in the past few days. Tomorrow I might be going to the NJEA conference with Brennan, which might be fun times. :)

I looked for you to wave as you went by my cage... what happened? You made it over to the tourist capital of Florida I see. Glad you got to do something nice even though the reason for coming down was sad. There was a phenomenal airstream park down here and the airport got stupid and moved them all out, now the lot is just empty. They had a constant "stream" of money, with all the airstreams, but some politician wanted to sell the property or something like that. Everyone loved seeing all the great shiny trailers.

Nice that you have returned back to the cool weather of the north.

You forgot to take the 50 degree nights with you.

What? I waved! :P Oh yeah, tourist city. It was fun though. My parents bought me one of those "mini palm tree" things, so it's sitting on my desk with the rest of the usual clutter. Politiciants=lame. Politics comes from the Latin "Poly" which means "many" and the word "ticks" which are blood-sucking insects. And hey, your low temperatures are our high temperatures.

I don't know how I missed you. LOL

The palm tree does not need too much water. If you water it once a week, with just enough to wet the dirt, but not water in the tray, your palm will be successful.

I had to turn the heat on in my cage today. I couldn't get the temperature above 73 until I turned on the cage heat. LOL

LOL

lol :P Yeah, the instructions said to only water it like twice a week. It's pretty awesome, it seems like the plant thrives on you ignoring it! You only water it once a week, don't put it in sunlight, and don't give it plant food more than 4 times a year! ^_^

Well, this weekend has been incredibly boring overall. Although I had a really nice conversation with Phil the other night. ^_^ I got laundry done, did a little bit of work on my psych project, that's pretty much it. Boring.

Phil... yeah! Boring is good. You got lots accomplished. Which always helps when it comes to projects.

Haha I wish I got lots accomplished. Most of my time was spend staring into space. Not really productive. I went to bed early last night because I had nothing better to do. Marius came back today, a lot later than normal. Turned out he got into a small car crash on his way over. No major damage to either him or the person he hit (or hit him, however it went), but his car is out of service for awhile. And pretty much everyone here is sick!

Isn't this his second crash? :o Perhaps he should start thinking about riding a bicycle. The good news is that no one was hurt.

The nice thing about being away at school, germs just keep being passed around and around, until everyone has had a chance to get sick a couple times.

No, although Marius claims to be a bad driver (I've never been in the car with him driving), it was Ian that keeps getting into crashes. lol I wouldn't call that a nice thing, but whatever. I usually barely get by without getting sick, but this bug seems like a tough one.

I had confused Ian and Marius with the car crashes. At least they are okay.

Usually, I can avoid most bugs, which seem to hang out at the "health" club, but the last one was the worst I have ever had.

When I was having coffee yesterday, two guys were sitting at a table for four, kind of diagonal from each other. One guy coughed directly into the face of the other one without covering his mouth. The other guy said something, which I couldn't quite hear about coughing in his face, but the cougher... acted like it was no big deal and started getting rather loud, calling the other guy a baby. The other guy got up, went into the bathroom, and instead of walking back to the table, he left. Unfortunately, I do not believe, the cougher will get the message.

Haha wow, some people are so stupid....I remember about this time last year, Marius was going out with this girl Michelle. And they were about to go their seperate ways one day, but Marius was sick, so he said, "I'm sick, you probably don't want to kiss me" and then proceeded to kiss her on the hand instead. I thought it was really sweet. ^_^

Speaking of Marius, I'm worried about him right now. He's in a *really* bad mood. I've seen him in a bad mood before, but this is a little bit scary.

Part of it probably has to do with the car crash, he's just getting over being sick, and he has a lot of work to do. Michelle has nothing to do with it, they broke up a long time ago last year. Although he is interested in this girl Nikki, but I don't know much about that, so that might have something to do with it. I just hope he doesn't hurt anyone, or himself...

Ah, yeah. When I got back from Choir today he seemed to be in a much better mood, although he was punching walls rather hard, and not feeling any pain from it. But he didn't seem angry at all. At least he's done with his work, which is a good thing. He was even nice with Lara, which impressed me, because I expected him to be short tempered with her.

I bet his hands hurt tomorrow. Makes me wonder what caused the bad mood.

Lara is very fortunate that his mood improved.

Very sweet and very, very considerate.

Speaking of Marius, I'm worried about him right now. He's in a *really* bad mood. I've seen him in a bad mood before, but this is a little bit scary.

I hope part of his bad mood is due to the fact that he might be getting sick. If not, I wonder what is causing this.

Please keep me posted. Just a thought, perhaps Michelle has something to do with his bad mood... what do you think?

Part of it probably has to do with the car crash, he's just getting over being sick, and he has a lot of work to do. Michelle has nothing to do with it, they broke up a long time ago last year. Although he is interested in this girl Nikki, but I don't know much about that, so that might have something to do with it. I just hope he doesn't hurt anyone, or himself...

It is really scary that you think he might hurt himself or someone else.

I looked at his hands, no bruising. His body does strange things sometimes, including healing really fast from injuries. Don't know why.

Haha really. Today so far has been alright, aside from not getting enough sleep because my roomie's coughing kept waking me up. I got all good marks from my teaching two weeks ago, and an 88 on my midterm. ^_^

A descendant of Wolverine perhaps?

Did he ever tell anyone why he got so angry? I think he should tell someone, even if he does seem more calm, that way there's nothing to be left bottled up inside for a resurgence of anger. Or maybe it's better for your health not to mention it. :P

You're doing great. You need to get your roomie some Chloroseptic lozenges. They completely remove the cough and make your throat feel great.

I think it was mostly just lots of stress gaining on him, although I think he's got a lot of repressed issues from his past, which he only makes vague references to. I was actually chatting with him a few minutes ago, and he was in a really good mood (he was pretty much glowing), because he just spent the past several hours hanging out with Nikki (the one he's interested in). And today was the first time I've gotten any decent look at her, although I still have yet to talk to her. I just don't get good vibes from her for some reason, and I don't know why, so I'd love to actually talk to her to see what she's like. There's just something really creepy about her that I can't quite peg, and that bothers me. I mean, she's strange (so are pretty much all the people I know, and I'd never expect Marius to be interested in someone normal), but something about her really makes me uneasy. I just hope it's all in my head and that it turns out she's really cool once I get to know her.

In other news: We did our paint-a-block thing today. Every year, the people living in our building get to paint one of the cinder blocks in the wall right outside our door. Mine's really cool, it's a beach scene framed by two palm trees, and in the center where the ocean is, I have a Bible verse I liked about wisdom. ^_^ Also, I'm going home this weekend, and Phil's going to be home this weekend, so we're going to attempt to schedule some hanging out time in there somewhere, so I'm really looking forward to that. ^_^ And that's pretty much it. Tomorrow's Wednesday, which means sleeping in. ^_^

Maybe. I really hope not though. I don't like not-liking people, especially when they're people that the people I'm close with like. And I would really hate to have to be the person to tell Marius there's something wrong with his romantic interest, especially since things seem to be going so well for him right now, and he's so happy about it. And I like seeing Marius happy. It's just something about the whole thing is making me uneasy, and I really don't like that.

True story... I know a guy whose best friend was dating a girl. No one really liked her. He did tell his friend that he didn't think his friend shouldn't marry this girl. He didn't like hearing this bit of information and married her anyway. They got divorced about five years later and she got lots and lots of his assets. What is the purpose of my response? You need to follow your gut instinct and if you feel a need to voice your opinion, then I suggest you do. But only after you have tried to get to know her.

Yeah, it happens. A friend of my mom's, they were telling her not to marry some guy the night before the wedding. They got divorced too. And no, I'd never tell someone I don't like someone without getting to know them first, that would just be stupid.

Not really stupid, some friends just know from the first meeting that someone is bad news, and they try to save their friend from getting into a bad situation before they even start dating. My thought lines were that Marius probably would not listen to you until after you had tried to get to know her.

Ah, yeah, even if I did get to know her, he still might not listen to me. Marius is very intelligent and more intuitive than I'll ever be, but sometimes he likes to ignore certain aspects of reality to suit his liking.

Anyways, I'm going home this weekend. And Phil's going home this weekend, so we're planning on hanging out together. And the awesome part is: I have my liscence! So I don't have to get my mom to drive me anywhere or worry abut what she's doing/not doing or whatever. I just need to get ahold of one of our cars that 1.) is not a stick shift, and 2.) works. And what really excites me is that Phil's facebook status says Phil is is waiting to go home for once. ^_^ Plus Saturday evening is the church thanksgiving thing, so I get to see all my awesome church friends too. So yeah, I'm excited. ^_^

Phil... now this sounds very promising. I am really excited to hear that Phil is excited about going home this weekend. Your weekend sounds like it is going to be stellar. BTW... learn to drive standard.

Fod shopping... well the people at the airport will be happy you are cleaning up the tarmac for them. LOL

Pissibly... no I won't touch that one.

I'm home now! Saw some snow on the way over, which is exciting. Also went out to dinner, and got real food, which was awesome. ^_^ Tomorrow is going to entail fod shopping, pissibly Phil (waiting for him to call with what his plans are), church Thanksgiving thing, and movies.

You must be excited! LOL

So it turned out that both of us were really busy today and never actually got together, which I'm kinda sad about, but we really wouldn't have had much time to hang out. So I guess it wasn't meant to happen. I've got all of winter break anyways, and at least then we wouldn't be under such crazy time schedule problems. It was, however, a fun day with my family and seeing some of my church friends again. ^_^ We saw Beowulf after that, I didn't like it that much. Although the animation was amazing (it is animated, not live action). Tomorrow I go to church, and then straight to college.

Perhaps you will see Phil lots over winter break. This gives you lots of time to learn standard.

lol something like that. My friends seem to like hanging out in my room for some odd reason, despite the fact that it's a cluttered mess. It's probably because I usually have the door propped open so they just walk in.

^_^ Yeah, I had to be up at 6 so I could get to the middle school by 7:30. Only two more days of that. Which is nice because I won't have to get up at 6, but sad because I like working with the middle school kids. Today I get to go back home for thanksgiving break, so I've got lots of packing/cleaning to do.

And will you see Phil? I know you said winter break, but you didn't mention Turkey Day. :P

You know how much I am looking forward to college?

You all make it sound like so much fun. But I am stuck in public high school. Dx

But like, I can't wait until I get to go away to college. Plus, my friend brianna (whom is very awesome) is moving back to vegas around the middle of the school year. And then she is moving back out here for college, making it even better. and I have friends with the same colleges in mind, which is really awesome.

Nah, he's headed out of state tomorrow to visit with family for Thanksgiving. (Hence why I wanted to see him over the weekend).

Cheesey: Keep in mind, people who go to college with friends from high school don't always stay friends, or at least not as close friends. Don't pick colleges just because of where your friends are going. I knew no one at my college when I got there, and the friends I've made are the best friends I've ever had. Just something to keep in mind. Oh, and college is tons of fun, as long as you don't mess it up with stupid drama and alcohol abuse (the two often seem to go hand in hand, actually). I really don't see why people think drinking is so much fun when they don't remember most of it the next day.

Jesusfreak is absolutely correct. If I had made it back here before she did, that would have been almost exactly what I would have said.

Please pick the college that you want to attend. Do not even let the thought of who might be going influence your decision of where you want to attend. This is about you and your next four years. You will make lots of new friends, and that will happen very easily. Remember, almost everyone is in your position or has been. Except for the commuters, almost everyone arrives not knowing anyone. The dorm is a great place to get to know people, then there are activities that interest you and you will make friends there, classes, etc. The difference between college friends and high school friends is that in college you are choosing the friends you have based on who you want to associate with and not peer pressure. When you get older, you might have friends from high school, but I do believe that your college friends will be closer and longer friendships.

For some people, they have had strict parents and going away to college is their first time with no supervision. Lots of times, they party and have to let the wild times get out of their system. Quite often, after freshman year, many people settle down to studying. Then there is the group that has a four year party, and this includes s a fifth year of school in order to graduate. You have to figure out what you want to do, make a decision and then follow your plan. You can go out and enjoy the party, but too much alcohol and as Jesusfreak stated, you don't remember the night before. LOL

I am fully aware about not choosing colleges based on friends.

We had been talking about colleg one night, and found out that our plans for placement were the same. So, me and two of my friends found out by coincidence, not group planning, that we wanted to go to the same colleges.

And These aren't the people who I would stop being friends with, we are all close as it is. Who knows where it might go from that. ;D

I have too much to do and not enough time motivation to do it. Take home test for psych, packing, etc. Boring. And I get to go back to Rider tomorrow, which should be fun. I miss my friends from there. It's going to be a sad day when we all graduate and move away. I'll have to get them all to get webcams.... Oh, we also saw Enchanted on thanksgiving. It was really cute. ^_^

So, I'm back at Rider. They have the heat turned on full blast, so now my door and window are both open to maintain a reasonable climate. o.O And I'm listening to Christmas music, which makes me happy. And I have peppermint tea. ^_^

Yeah for being back at school. Along with the peppermint tea you need some some candles with the christmas smell. :D

Yeah. I've got yankee candle's balsam and cedar air freshener. It's really expensive, but it smells so good! ^_^

Yep it does. I had my door open today, and some guy in a random group of people walking by said, "It smells like Christmas!" ^_^ Also, watched House today, and House fired the one person I hated, which made me happy. ^_^

Today was my last day with the middle school kids. It's kinda sad because they were a lot of fun, but I'm not going to miss getting up at 6am. I have a sore throat too, which isn't fun. I don't get sore throats too often, especially not for this long, so I really hope it's not something serious. Plus I've got a choir concert on Sunday.

Start gargling with warm salt water. That should help you quite a bit.

Haha, so do I! Good luck with your concert. ^_^

Bring a tape recorder then post it here so we all can hear! :D

lol I wish I could!

Wouldn't that be fun! :D

Go to your local spy shop and get one of those teeny-tiny spy cams and you could post the concert on you tube.

But of course, I would definitely do it from an anonymous computer in let's say Manhattan (NYC), with an anonymous name, because I am certain someone would be looking for the culprit. Oh and when you are using the anonymous computer, make sure you have a wig and dark glasses, just in case they are filming you!
