On my shelf I've got our old torn books that we wrote by ourselves.

And every single moment is stored in my heart and my brain cells,

Dusty and torn but i take them down anyhow

and there's things written down memories that make tears come out

and then I remember and the tears just fall out

I know you won't listen but I'll tell you the songs anyway.

or maybe "Turn It On Again" and "Forever Young"

and the ones by Journey, and Lennon, and Green Day, and Me

The ones you know but don't care to know

You only know because I know

 

There's so much I wish I could of done,

I was gonna show you all this weird stuff I talk about

But now I'm gonna have to let it out

Just like the old ones

That you won't care to know about
