Mega Wolf
So yeah. I have decided to start the Health Club. Here, you find inspiration to do the right things for yourself by posting about your daily health rituals. Like, what you eat, and how much you exercise. So, basically, it's just that extra push. It reminds you of what you need to do. ^.^

Mega Wolf
Dr. Wolf... I  LOVE  sugar. Is this one of the four food groups????? Horatio Sugar is in fact part of the food groups, because, after all it is food. XD However, it is one of those things in moderation as mentioned earlier. It's okay to have sugar, but going overboard will just turn the sugar into fat. Also, too much sugar can cause diabetes. Diabetes is not good. You can lose your eyesight, go into a coma, and/or die. So sugar is okay in moderation. Not having enough carbohydrates is bad as well, though. Besides, you can reward yourself on a rare occasion with high sugar foods, and then you enjoy it more. ^.^

And yes, crunches AND push ups. However, I might find myself relaxing on the increase in distance for running. >. Noooooooo. I apologize. I will only bike 11.5 miles. 23 will not happen for a while. I should have said the round-trip to the north end of my street is 11.5.
Cheesus
maybe this is the reason you are becoming a chubby hammie...the blueberry muffins, the mud pie... moderation, horation. You are great at moderating the board, why not your diet? Those are blueberry danishes. A wonderful flaky pastry complete with blueberry filling and wonderful icing all over the top. Whatever, same difference. >.< But still, just running isn't enough. We are in this together, Horatio. I've stuck to my running, be it only the third day, but have you? I'm also trying to eat healthier, why don't you? Not the same at all, danishes are so superior to blueberry muffuns. Icing is the key!!! As for jogging, yes, I am going out and doing two miles. Very slow, but I am doing it. Do you think your parents would loan you out for a couple of months? You could be my coach. Unfortunately, I can't come down for a few weeks. That whole school thing gets in the way. xD However, I am trying to coach you as best as I can via the board. xD But, how long does your two miles take you? Long..... about 15 minutes per mile. As far as school is concerned... hamster school is the best. You can attend that one. LOL 4 miles an hour, that is what I do. xD I'm gonna try to go up by .2 every week, starting sunday. And don't forget to do crunches, push-ups, and stretches. And moderate your diet. Basically what I am doing. Jesusfreak
So I just noticed this topic existed. You all might find it interesting that the Spanish word for soup is sopa (pronounced SOAP-ah). As for this whole excercise thing, swimming works great because it works your entire body. The only problem is that as you lose weight, it gets expensive buying new swimsuits. Keep in mind that once you start excercising and dieting, don't stop because you've reached your desired weight. You will gain it back, and then some. My friend Lara is on Weight Watchers, and it's actually working. (And you don't have to give up all your sweets). Excercising is more fun with upbeat, happy sounding music. It boosts morale. As for what I'm doing: Most of my excercise comes from having to walk to class/dinner/everything else. The farthest walk is either to the freshmen parking lot or to the chapel. Also climbing up and down stairs every day (I live on a second floor, some of my friends life on the third, and all the academic buildings have three floors). I don't really eat healthy, but I'm at a healthy weight anyways. Although I do try to remember to take a multi-vitamin and calcium supplement every day (I'm lactose intolerant). Which reminds me...*takes meds* Ooh, and a vitamin C supplement (Halls defence drops) *eats one of those too* Also due to the lactose intolerance, I can't eat things like ice cream and cheese cake, so I go for soy alternatives, which I think helps. (Tofutti and So Delicious are my favorite brands, and Cool Whip is dairy free). I also like fruit, although I don't get enough of it (I'm limited to a dining hall for the most part, and I refuse to eat anythig I can't identify). Oranges taste better when you cut them up into fourths (or eighths). I don't know why. The only problem is that they get stuck in your teeth. If you're like me and you're too lazy to cut up fruit, you can buy pre-cut fruit, often in little snack packages (most common are apples and grapes, because they keep longer). Fruit cups are good for breakfast. Maybe instead of eating a blueberry danish, just eat blueberries? (they taste better). Oh, and water. Replace whatever you drink with water. Soda has so much sugar in it, it's insane. And it dehydrates you because of the caffeine (so be sure to drink water with your coffe, Horatio). That's all I've got for now. I should probably get dressed and start working on my laundry.

As in, I might have a little gas later. So I just eat dairy in small amounts. I love cheese, though, so that is kind of a pain. >.< And my iPod is a WONDERFUL INVENTION. I'm not sure that I could do this without my awsome music. xD I find myself skipping the songs that aren't as upbeat as others, songs that I normally love. xD [i covered my iPod's headphone cord in duct tape. xD]

LOL Be quiet, you. >.> You know what I meant. xD *shakes my noddle* LOL... okay. *hits noddle with a noodle* *hopes it is a wet noodle* LOL *clarifies* *hits Horatio's noddle with a wet noodle* *eats wet noodle* To bad it was a short, thick noodle! Now you gained 5,000,000 calories and 2,000,000 grams of fat! =D *decides to go to sleep it off* Sorry Raishey, that doesn't work. *hamster snoring is heard in the background*
Cheesus
Watch out for certain pastas, though. Some of these are not really that good because the nutrients are like. Not there. Jesusfreak
Um...2,000,000 grams of fat comes out to 2,000 kg of fat alone, not including the rest of ones body. And for those of you who don't know metric, that's a lot.

Cheesus
Haha, so are you guys avoiding telling me about your habits? No, actually. I just got some semi-cheap running shoes for $40 yesterday. I got them from rack room shoes, horatio. But I did try a little running in the store, and they were comfortable. And then I brought them back and ran two miles. =D I like them. A lot better than the skating shoes I normally wear. xD I have been a little lax in my running though, so I plan on working on that. Arkcher
Yeah. Yeeeeaaah. so I'll come back in here with something unrelated to what you're talking about. I got bored with the lack of any gym or place to work out a week or two ago, and would run around like 20 times in my backyard 'cause I didnt want to bother running around the neighborhood (though it would have been more practical) and... didnt really see any results, but that was partly to blame I only did it for like three days. At the same time, I'd be doing sit-ups about every morning and night, when I'd remember to. which was going better, until I developed a very unwelcome aching in my lower back. which returns every time I've tried doing sit-ups since. which is really kind of a problem. so I went and told my mom I'd like to be going to a real gym, being kind of sick of this annoying beer gut I have, and she looks at me weird and says 'no. Thats not a beer gut. Look at your dad.' but. we did get it decided that Im gonna go and make one of those work-out plan dealies and that I'm overreacting about my appearance. You probably are overreacting about your appearance, but having a plan to stay in shape never hurt anyone. The trick is to make up something simple, and make it a habit. Mega Wolf
Remember people. Do not overwork one particular part of the body. You're gonna regret it. XD Like uh. Do yer weightlifting type things every other day. My boyfriend overdoes the whole work out thing and he often ends up going to school aching, even with his awesome muscularness. XD So yeah. Don't overdo stuff. But don't underdo either.
