I had the a horrible thing happen today too.

I was outside this morning flying my little helicopter outside, because I kept crashing into things in my room.

A gust of wind came and blew it onto the roof.

Luckily, it was the low part of the roof. So I got a ladder out, and went up..BUT I KNOCKED THE LADDER OVER!

That wasn't the worst part though. I had to jump down, and I was going to go in the front, but then I realized the side would be a lesser jump. So I went the side, and then I remember that we had tomato plants there, so I couldn't jump.

So I went back to the front side and jumped down and all was good. So I went over to the tomato plants to check them out, and they got HUGE! I don't know why I did, but I looked into this bucket thing, that my step dad put under the gutter, to use that water to water the plants, ya know...

Well, I looked in...and guess what I saw!

 

A chipmunk!

It was standing up perfectly straight, hands were out.

It was so cute, and I wanted to jump in and save it and perform CPR.

But I couldn't. I just couldn't get in there to save it.

It was probably long dead by then anyway, so my efforts would have meant nothing.

 

I want to cry, I feel soooooooooooooooooooooo bad.

I am so sorry.

 

If it was dead it wouldn't be standing. Couldn't you dump the bucket, let the chipmunk out then fill the bucket again? How about putting a screen over it, to allow the rain water in and keep out the critters?

 

Please go back and see if it is still there. Perhaps it is still alive and you can let it go.

I first saw it like, 4 hours ago...

And then I checked back before I posted that last post, and it was still in a standing position....

Could it have really stayed alive that long?

It is so sad that people have such low self-esteem that they have to kill defenseless little animals with a 3000 to 5000 pound car.

If I was his parent, he would lose car privileges when he killed an animal. If he wanted to drive he would have to go and buy his own car.

So, today I went out for a bike ride. Had to force myself as it was sprinkling and I wasn't up for the rain before I got on the bike. But after I got going... the rain was nice.

Tomorrow I am taking the motorcycle to Orlando for it's annual service check and a new front tyre. On Friday I am picking up my new motorcycle... a DRZ400S. It will have knobbies for dirt. On Sunday, I am riding 270 miles, on the R1100S, from my cage to Captiva for breakfast and then back again. 540 miles roundtrip just to eat breakfast. If all works out... I will have some pictures to post.

 

Black motorcycles with black leather motorcycle gear are great for stalking.

Perhaps we ought to start a stalking club if we can't find a local chapter.

We had three Sago Palms and they got some sort of disease. They are nice when they are low to the ground, as they get taller I don't really care for them.

Plus... down here they are ultra expensive. My favorite is the Bismarck Palm.

Here is a picture of our bikes in front of the restaurant. The weather was beautiful, the restaurant was fantastic and we all enjoyed ourselves. After breakfast, we decided to go to the beach. Spent a little time there and decided it was time to part ways. A few people stayed at the beach, the other guys went on to the next eating event... lunch and I rode with them a while before heading back home. The ride home was going well until the skies opened up and this continued for almost 150 miles. The last 50 miles were sunny and I was able to dry out. Only 0.6 miles from my driveway, my back tyre went flat. The bike was too heavy for me to walk it uphill, so I had to ride it with the flat. How fortunate I was so close to my cage when the flat occurred, considering it was 20H21. After a hot sand shower, I ate some soup, a salad, and hopped on here. All in all today was spectacular!!!

i saw a john mayor concert last night! and we got VIP passes to this after party type thing and John Mayor didnt show up :'[

but Colbie Callait, who opened for john mayor, was there and she is the sweetest person in the universe

and i got to see david ryan harris (he got us the VIP passes) who is john's guitarist and hes just super nice too

 

OHHHH and John Mayor was SHIRTLESS THE ENTIRE CONCERT!!!! and his abs are smokin'!

Left my cage about 04H00 and rode the bike about 250 miles to meet some people for breakfast. We rode another 30 plus miles and ended up in Captiva.

Here is a picture of our bikes in front of the restaurant. The weather was beautiful, the restaurant was fantastic and we all enjoyed ourselves. After breakfast, we decided to go to the beach. Spent a little time there and decided it was time to part ways. A few people stayed at the beach, the other guys went on to the next eating event... lunch and I rode with them a while before heading back home. The ride home was going well until the skies opened up and this continued for almost 150 miles. The last 50 miles were sunny and I was able to dry out. Only 0.6 miles from my driveway, my back tyre went flat. The bike was too heavy for me to walk it uphill, so I had to ride it with the flat. How fortunate I was so close to my cage when the flat occurred, considering it was 20H21. After a hot sand shower, I ate some soup, a salad, and hopped on here. All in all today was spectacular!!!
