This winter it seems like everyone has been sick. Glad to hear you are better now. More snow?!?!?!? Spring would be outstanding! Your Honda is getting lonely. I would love riding my bike throughout Europe. How exciting that would be. FedEx is talking about the Paris domicile again, so who knows... it just might happen. If I move there, we can go for a ride together when you return from your educational adventure. You are coming back home again, right?

Thanks. I took more pictures today. The sun was out and I tried to take some glittery pictures, but I don't know enough to make that happen. Back to reading the manual. That would be a great idea to buy a good camera for your adventure. If I may, I would suggest buying a second battery and a second memory card. These were the two items I purchased and I am quite pleased that I did.

Great news! How is Shane? Hopefully both of you are feeling much better now.

The ice was too much for many pine trees, magnolias and some of the other trees with limbs that were weak. There was quite a bit of damage here. Yesterday you heard the chain saws clearing the branches from the roads. Today looks like a good day for pictures. It is still really cold, so we still have the ice, but the sun is thinking about coming out. This should make for some sparkly pictures. Now only if I can do a good job with the camera. Yesterday I spent reading the manual and learning more about how to use the focus portion of the camera. Perhaps I will come up with some good close-ups.

I found this flower discarded on the ground after someone plucked it from the plant. I took it home and put it into water and took some pictures of it. Isn't it beautiful?

In the meantime, I took some pictures with my manual camera which has a Macro feature. When those pictures are developed, I will post some of those pictures.

Hopefully this is the last cast, but if I get another one... perhaps I will have to spray paint it. For other news... we had an awful snow, rain, ice pellets, rain, freeze event. The trees are covered in ice and look like beautiful crystal branches, but I am certain that many of the trees will suffer major damage as the weight will be too much. Pictures to follow.

Great news on the class. Glad you are enjoying it. I have my chamomile tea and have been making sure to take vitamin C in addition to my usual multivitamin lol. I can't afford to be really sick. Sounds like you are taking all the correct precautions. Hopefully the sickness will pass you by. Hehe, the sniffly nose started today, and a few people noticed that my voice is messed up (much lower than usual). I'm still in good spirits overall though, which is the important part. Oh no! I hope that is all the suffering you have to endure. lol it's worse today. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse than this though, because I still have school tomorrow, and then I'm hopefully gonna visit Shane. Noooooooo! Not worse!!!!!! Of course, Shane probably was the one who passed this awful cold on to you, so I can see you being really nice and returning it back to him.

What? No video? lol it was kind of a spontaneous thing. You could have asked for a do-over. It would have gone something like this: Jesusfreak: "Ooops, my camcorder was in my backpack. If I get it out, hand it to you (the other teacher), walk out of the room and re-enter, could I have a do-over with you recording it? I have some friends who would like to see this." Other Teacher: "Sure." Jesusfreak: "Oh and don't worry, their faces will be blocked. I just want the singing."

Of course... I got black. Actually I was going to go a little wild and I asked the nurse if she could make it black and yellow stiped. No yellow. No white either. BTW, you would have a hard time chosing... there is no red.

As this is my topic, I guess it would be okay if I complain. Two days ago, I went to the doctor's to check on my ankle. The good news is that I have a pretty new cast. The bad news is that my pretty new cast must stay on for at least four more weeks. *cries*

The rose-ringed parakeet is pretty. Hopefully they won't die out this winter. I love bats! This summer I plan to add three bat houses to my yard. There is a great location across by the river, one in the backyard and one in the side yard that would be perfect for them. No one goes near those three locations. When I lived in Coconut Grove, Florida, we had parrots that flew wild. Every morning and afternoon they would be flying overhead. There were a number of different varieties of parrot, so the colours were spectacular. And the sounds were just like you mentioned, just like you were in the jungle. Thank you for the great pictures. Although it is really cold, what a beautiful way to start the day with a ride though Stadtwald. If I could ride my bicycle to work though such a peaceful area, I would ride every day. Those pictures are terrific!
