  1. It's great that you stopped back it, but I am so sorry that you are going through the things that you are. That is really awful. As for the people in your high school... time away does heal some wounds. Perhaps the summer will take care of things, perhaps not. When you come home at Thanksgiving or Christmas, I think you will find the people you want to talk to will want to talk to you. Things change when you go away. As for your father and step-mother, I am so sorry she acts the way she does. First of all, your mother has done a wonderful job of raising you, and her efforts should be applauded. She has no obligation to save the child support your father paid her and use it towards your college tuition. Your mother knows the divorce agreement and perhaps your father has an obligation to pay for some of your college. I am so sorry that you are going through all this. Your step-mother is not a nice person, but you have a wonderful mother, so please focus on the positive. As far as the roommate you might have had... at least you know before you both are rooming together. You will find someone else. Please don't be a stranger, we like when you post.

    My place. :)

You have to love those Apple products!!! Have a good mother's day at home!!! I'm sure that the right job in the right place will come along sooner than you think. Then your mother can get the house rented out and you can get your own place that is the right size for you.
  3. So, are you going to tell us what you did for your birthday??? Any pictures of your real birthday cake???
  4. I guess the 26 year old guy would be a little old to take to the prom. You will have a great time going with your friend.
  5. Dear - Kat -, Today is one of those special days, because it is your birthday! Hope this day brings you much happiness, friendship and love. We just wanted you to know that we are thinking of you. I have baked an ultra special birthday cake, overflowing pin tac in the batter and in the icing. I would have taken a picture, but that would not do it justice. Instead I have put the 19 candles, plus one for good luck, on top, all lit just waiting for you to come, make a wish, blow them all out and start the party. But first... HAPPY HAMMIE BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY HAMMIE BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY HAMMIE BIRTHDAY DEAR - KAT -, HAPPY HAMMIE BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!! Have a wonderful day! Horatio

Only a few more days to put up with the roomies. If your parents allowed you, why not stay in your grandmother's house? Not your style or furniture type reason? At least you would be taking care of the property.
  7. o: i've been there before What was your impression? :x well it's been a few years. Reminded me of San Antonio's riverwalk, which is pretty awesome. I like San Antonio's riverwalk. I was surprised at how small the "river" was. It gave it a nice feel because is was small. Not like trying to walk along the Mississippi.

Now that the college chapter is almost over, you are moving on to the next portion of your life. I'm certain you will find a teaching job you like in the area you want. Hopefully your grandmother's house will be the best place for you and your teaching job. Sounds like you had a great time with Shane, and now your, friends. Sounds like this is going to be a fantastic summer for you. I'll be watching your graduation. Wave to the camera!
  10. And lots and lots of more guys to meet.
  11. Definitely! Especially when they have an outlet mall along the boardwalk. When I think of a boardwalk, I think of Atlantic City.
  12. Yesterday and today I have been in Shreveport, Louisiana. Interesting town. The city has a wonderful boardwalk, so to speak, that runs along the river for a few miles. Nice place to jog or walk. The boardwalk is really a concrete walkway, but they call it the boardwalk.
  13. That would be good if you could do that.
  14. Great idea!!! For me, Border's will get any CD you desire, and at a great discount, so I just ask them to get those hard to find CD's. I had not thought of an artist with a smaller fan base... that is a phenomenal idea!!!
  15. My advice is to just keep having fun and when you get into college, you will see how things change. These romances will be a thing of the past.
  16. No, I was not saying to stay with someone you are not happy with. What I was trying to say is that you cannot be with someone and be looking for someone else. If you are unhappy, then I think you should break off the relationship. For you to continue, would be unfair to yourself and to Nick. It is not right to use a guy to try and meet other guys. My thinking was that you were unaware of what could happen with the Colonel, and that ended up not being a possibility. If you are unhappy, don't stay in the relationship you are in. That is not fair to you or Nick. You both deserve to be happy.
  17. WHAT??? Have I not had any bad influence over you? Besides... you could always just borrow my copy of the new CD.

I have friends in Toms River. I am still excited for you and the prospect of living in New Jersey close to Shane.

What a wonderful opportunity! Your grandmother sure picked the right place to have her home. It works out great for your to see Shane during the summer. How close is your grandmother's house to Newark airport?
  20. I had to look twice because it looked like snow, but seemed different. When you said Cottonwood seed, I remembered immediately just how that looks; exactly like snow. Glad for you it wasn't. Now get out on your bike an ride! The Honda is calling. Perhaps the next time you ride and you pass a castle or traditional German building from the 1800's, you might post a picture. Please consider this. Or, if people are swimming in the river, like they do in Munich or Frankfurt, take a picture. That is so cool.
  21. I would feel violated as well. Bing... Microsoft! I like Microsoft. I want an Apple though if only to be familiar with the OS. Once you use an Apple, you will never want to go back to a Microsoft product! Guaranteed. Not so. I used apple when I worked at the newspaper. I hated it. I wanted my laptop badly. They had lousy keyboards and a defective program. I like the new keyboards better so I'm willing to try, but the old plastic ones with the clear on the side were really hard to type on and hurt my fingers. What I really care about most is the keyboard, being a writer. I need keys that are comfortable and easy to type on so I can do it for hours. Hope you like the new keyboards better than the old ones. The iPad is pretty amazing. It is really strange to type on the screen. No pressure whatsoever. I won't be getting an iPad. I tend to avoid overhyped products. I won't get iPod or iPad, I won't get any of the old Final Fantasy games (but I want the new one it looks awesome) and I won't get a 3D HDTV or a lot of name brand items that are just over popular. I mean, I understand why they're so popular, but I refuse to support them further. You make me smile. Actually the Mac products are the only things, except for the new BMW motorcycle, that I absolutely must have. I will admit... I am a Mac. As for other new hyped up stuff... I won't go there either. And I definitely won't buy a tele that I need to wear glasses to watch. 3D is not that high on my priority list. Didn't go for plasma and still don't have the flat screen tele although I think those are pretty great.
