Here is an update on Max, my wonderful laptop. After spending a week at the repair center, he returned only to still have problems. They swapped out my hard drive and lost ALL my data. Of course, I should have backed it up, but did not. Sooooo, all was lost. Now, I take Max home and find out that the problem is still there. So, back to the Apple Store and more diagnostic testing. ??? No one has an immediate answer. The new answer is, I get to keep Max at my house for the weekend, then first thing Monday morning, Max is heading back to the repair center for seven to ten days. The last trip it was picked up at the Apple Store by DHL on Saturday for overnight shipping, and it arrived on Wednesday. Overnight?!?!?!? The day it arrived it was serviced and shipped out on FedEx to return back at the Apple Store, this time it did arrive the next day. I am hoping that DHL can actually get their act together and ship the computer overnight. If they could actually do this, then it would truly be back by Friday. I have no hopes when Dewey Huey and Louie are in charge of the shipping. So beginning Monday, it is back to the library, Circuit City and other wonderful computer sellers to moderate. Please bear with me. At least when my Max returns home he will have a new logic board, new memory and new airport card. He will be a super duper new and improved Max.
