Kris... I feel really good now. Usually I am the accident prone person in the group. You have far surpassed me!!!!! When you get some time, we would really like hearing about your trip!

I am so sorry to hear that inititally your trip was not a great experience for you because of the people, but I like hearing that you are now with people you like and this has made the trip much better. Shanghai is a great city. You are coming back next year for eleven months????? WOW!!! Will you be in Shanghai the entire time at the university or in a variety of cities? How thrilling you will have this opportunity! When you do return? As for the use of chopsticks... you will have to teach me. I am not so good, no, I am awful using chopsticks. The last time I was there, I was having such a hard time, that a Chinese lady saw me struggling and asked the waitress to bring me a fork. Somehow I find the Japanese chopsticks a little easier to use than the Chinese chopsticks. I know that sounds strange. I am still working on it.

I can only imagine the book that is published "Kkristina Stumbles Across Europe"! Please sign me up for ten autographed copies. Not many people receive daily calls from the crew to make sure they are okay. Kris is going down in cruise ship history!

Unfortunately no. I picked up a trip where I flew between Anchorage and Newark with the most beautiful Kodiak bear. He was on his way to Olso for his new home from Anchorage. At nine months, he had been orphaned. Without the skills that his mother would teach him, until age three, his chances of survival were very slim. He was rescued and now at three years, he is on his way to his new home. It was absolutely fantastic as the handlers allowed me to feed him some fruit. For me, this was really, really exciting. Anyway, because of this trip, I was not in China, but the USA. How are you doing speaking Mandarin or Cantonese? Are you able to eat anything using chopsticks? Are you taking lots of pictures on this adventure? Please let us know how it is going. I am so sorry that we were unable to have a cup of tea in China together.

Perhaps only Apple and Yale University can afford a 3D printer. For now, you and I will just have to read about it. LOL

Whoa... big news!!!!! I just found out that I will be carrying a bear on the airplane from Anchorage to Newark on the 13th. This is really exciting to me! Of course, pictures will follow. Today I plan on making sure all my pictures are downloaded from my camera, my batteries and spare batteries are fully charged and I have a second flash so that it does not flash in the bear's eyes. This is going to be a terrific flight!!!!!

Tomorrow I am leaving for Anchorage, and the nice part about this trip is the fact that we are flying in the afternoon. A daylight trip!!! After spending a day in Anchorage, we fly to Newark, followed by a day in Summit, then on to Memphis. After I return to Memphis, I am off for two weeks on vacation days!!!!

I was thinking just after we landed in Memphis, how strange it seems to take off from Shanghai, China and land in Memphis just half a day later in Memphis, Tennessee. While most people are sleeping, we have just traveled from one side of the world to another. Air travel has achieved some incredible strides.

Pictures... I need pictures to accompany my travels. As for Narnia... not yet, but I have seen it as I kayaked down the Winding Arrow river. And for other news... I like C. S. Lewis.

Oh my... I am so, so sorry to hear the news. I do hope that your father gets a new job soon. Along with the news of your grandmother, I know that this must be such a stressful time in your home. Hopefully you will be able to get a job soon too. You and your entire family are in my thoughts, heart and prayers. Kris got a concussion? How did this happen? Please tell her I am thinking of her and hope that she gets better soon.

As you have experienced, choices have consequences. Congratulations on the improvement on the trumpet, and I am hoping you pass your class. Not turning in the essay would be far worse and I applaud you for making the effort to get the essay in. I have a good feeling that you will pass if you turn in the essay. Invite your professor to one of your concerts. Perhaps this will influence them.

You will do exceptionally well in your finals, as you always do! Good luck! What online classes do you plan to take?

The first of June was Flip a Coin Day and National Doughnut Day... while I was celebrating at the local doughnut shop, we flipped several coins. The doughnuts were tasty!!!
