Back in Osaka today. Sadly it is for only a short visit as we leave tonight for Memphis. I will be very happy to get home as I have been away cumulatively for too many days this month.

Well... a little good news, a little bad news. First, I arrived home and was getting rested, but only for a short two days. I am on reserve and had hoped that I would escape being used. Well, no such luck... here I sit in Osaka, Japan. One day here, then tomorrow to Guangzhou, China, rest for a day, back to Osaka, then nineteen hours rest and back to Memphis. Hopefully then, I will get a couple days off before flying a trip from Memphis, TN to Oakland, CA and back. Hopefully this will be a busy month for us. I am sitting in a coffee place called Shaker's and drinking this coffee...

Welcome to the crazy world of work at the holidays. Retail is so tough. People seem to think that can make a mess of things and there is you to clean up after them. I am sorry you had to work so very hard. The bad news is that... it is only going to get worse. Until the middle of January. *gives - Kat - a cyber hug* We are so sorry to hear about Sasha. Hamsters do what hamsters do best, and that is escape. Unfortunately she passed away while she was out. I know this is such a difficult time for you, but please know that she loved you and knew you were a terrific "mother".

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was in Delhi and flew to Shanghai, so needless to say... no turkey there. But yesterday, I cooked a turkey, made dressing and had a most wonderful Thanksgiving dinner on a Tuesday.

I can totally relate to the problem. In Florida, we did not have to content with the cold, just lack of power. Being without power and having no heat, that must be awful.

So... while - Kat - is in Orlando, soaking up the sunshine, I will be heading to Chicago and then to Hong Kong. One day there and then back to Memphis. And I will have my iPhone and also my iPad.

Your teaching position is excellent!!! I think it would be great for Shane to move up there with you and continue on with his education. Sounds like you both have a really good plan. As you mentioned, the subbing will help him immensely. Tell him we are thinking of him and hope he will be out of Target soon. I have total faith that you will accomplish great things with your laptop. - Kat -, we could always find you a 60 inch screen and wifi you to that for your artwork. Would this be big enough? I think Apple TV will accomplish that.

Honda Accords are good cars, but sometimes, they have to be escorted to car heaven. Yours has given you many good years. Let me look at the board where guys sell their 'airport' cars. Sometimes they do not look pretty, but they always run. The goal is not to look good getting to work, but to make sure you do get to work. Sometimes they have great buys as the guys are changing bases and do not want to drive their cars, or cannot drive their car, such as a move to Hong Kong. Let me look and see what I find. Of course, after being reliable and in good running shape, I will make sure it meets my second priority... a good heater. BIRDEMIC! Perhaps Alfred Hitchock knew something we are all just learning.
