I've been to a gun show. Does that count?? I LOVE GUNS....AND SHOOTING THEM! I hope the shooting is only at targets. I am so sorry to hear this. It is hard when a good friend is going through some deep personal problems. What you have not considered is just how much your friendship means to him and how he knows that he has someone to turn to when he wants to talk. Your friendship means quite a bit and is a form of solace during this time. I can hope so. Hopefully he was able to get a good night's sleep and is feeling a bit better today, but that doesn't seem too likely. I get the idea that he's been through a lot over the years, although I don't know the details, and his brain works in ways I can't even begin to understand. He's really a fascinating person. *shrugs* Oh well, I guess there's not really much I can do for him aside from keep him company unless he wants to talk abouut it, which is also not all too likely. In other news, I had my first education class today (which, thankfully, got out really early, because technically we're booked to be there from 8am to 2pm). The class looks like it's going to be really awesome, and the teachers, one of them seems a lot like a politican, and the other one is a veteran of the school system, who knows all the ins and outs of what to do and what not to do. In October, we're going to start going into a local middle school to observe and ultimately teach classes, which is going to be awesome. I just need to go get some more professional looking clothes now.... Oh no... Not professional looking clothes!!!!!!!! I remember the coolest professor I ever had was my anthropology professor who wore hippie clothes and had a huge, thick braid that was longer than her tailbone. Hahaha excellent! Once I get an actual job, I'll wear my normal nice-ish clothing. But until then, especially when dealing with people who are going to be my references when I apply for jobs, I need to look and act professional. *twitches* *starts acting like my fur itches* I understand completely. You are smart in knowing how to play the game. LOL

Do you know how many hammies it takes to make a whole patty? A lot. My classes start the 5th. That's good that you're meeting new people. I find a good way to meet people is to keep your door propped open when you're in the room so people can walk in and say hi. Yeah, we've got the door propped open a lot. Except when I want some me time. Yeah, personal time is always a good thing. So are naps. Naps are excellent. *loves naps* I wouldn't be able to function with out naps. I know hamsters can't.

After we rodents go in and gnaw at the bindings of all their books. go and conquer!!!!! (actually on second thought i dont want any books to be damaged....) The new story is that they order their books after the sale this month and get them in September for school. :rolleyes: Yeah... right. september...that's when the dvd of elton's 60th birthday concert comes out! there's a countdown timer on his website....let me go check it...... 48 days 20 hours 17 minutes 51 seconds....it comes out on 25 sept. in the US, 24 in the UK.....why do they get everything first? the concert was here! oh well it's only one day... the date got moved to oct. 2 in the US... but anyway that wasn't what i was going to talk about... finally finished the two assigned summer reading books for school..."the secret life of bees" (sue monk kidd) and "the Last Ugly Person"(roger b. thomas) has anyone read them? just wondering..... The Secret Life of Bees sounds like one of the books I should add to my reading list... seeing as how I put my front paws directly into a bee's hive. And yes, that hurt a whole lot!!!!!!!!

Ask a buddy of his that you can trust, or ask a buddy of yours to hang out with him and figure the truth. That's a great idea Hamster_Girl. Also remember, he needs to change for himself, not for you. His saying he will do this just for you is not a good thing. Just like if you meet a guy and you see things you don't really like, don't ever think you will change him. Never happen. And in the end, you will not really be happy. I think you ought to find a different guy.
