Sweet! That happened to me too because I came in with AP credits like you. And then I took an additional 7 credits over the summer, so now I'm technically a junior with my 61 credits, despite my being in my second year of college. Which means I can legally be a substitute teacher in the state of New Jersey. That's kind of a weird requirement for substitute teaching. Then again quite a few substitute teachers don't make the class progress and instead just sit there I had a substitute teacher teaching my english class for the last three quarters of my first year in high school He really needed discipline skills. Anyway, for me AP credits only make up part of my transcript. I placed in a high level French class (FR 354) and the school gave me transfer credits for the levels below. They also gave me transfer credit for precalc. But that made a total of 18 credits so I'm not complaining! Phenomenal!!!!!!! You really worked hard to make that happen.

Far western lower part of the state, next two the Mississippi River (across from Arkansas) and touching Mississippi to the south. Memphis city limits touch the Mississippi state line. Look under a map search and go from your city, state to Memphis, TN and you will see it.

Glad you had some fun yesterday. But I am confused why you couldn't tell your mother the truth that you were getting together with some friends. Since you didn't mention, I am assuming you didn't have to work the express lane. And... you are going to be cold until next summer. nah it gets okay in march sometimes and yea no express, i was on 11 or 10 all day a safe (but not the boondocks) distance from the manager's desk im grounded till god knows when lol Still too cold for me. A safe distance from the manager's desk is good. LOL Sorry about being grounded. I hope you quit smoking for good. lol as long as i dont need a winter coat im good lol i dont I am wearing a sweater when it gets below 80. A coat comes on at 65 and below. At 50, I look like frosty the snowman. A total waste of money besides all the horrible health problems that result. You will be one of those people carrying around the portable oxygen tank just to be able to breathe.

Since it seems that I am always talking to myself, I will ramble a bit today. I want another motorcycle. This one needs to be an on/off road, but mostly a dirt bike, with nobby tires, that is street legal. That means, lights and blinkers that is registered. Life is too short not to enjoy yourself and I think riding on the trails is such fun. So... I am looking for another bike. A Yamaha XT225 or something like that. So, when I get good at riding the trails and can take some pictures, I will definitely post them. In the meantime, I plan on riding my bike from Florida to Memphis this weekend.

Jesusfreak is absolutely correct. If I had made it back here before she did, that would have been almost exactly what I would have said. Please pick the college that you want to attend. Do not even let the thought of who might be going influence your decision of where you want to attend. This is about you and your next four years. You will make lots of new friends, and that will happen very easily. Remember, almost everyone is in your position or has been. Except for the commuters, almost everyone arrives not knowing anyone. The dorm is a great place to get to know people, then there are activities that interest you and you will make friends there, classes, etc. The difference between college friends and high school friends is that in college you are choosing the friends you have based on who you want to associate with and not peer pressure. When you get older, you might have friends from high school, but I do believe that your college friends will be closer and longer friendships. For some people, they have had strict parents and going away to college is their first time with no supervision. Lots of times, they party and have to let the wild times get out of their system. Quite often, after freshman year, many people settle down to studying. Then there is the group that has a four year party, and this includes s a fifth year of school in order to graduate. You have to figure out what you want to do, make a decision and then follow your plan. You can go out and enjoy the party, but too much alcohol and as Jesusfreak stated, you don't remember the night before. LOL

Perhaps you will see Phil lots over winter break. This gives you lots of time to learn standard. Haha really. Yesterday was fun though, lots of people hangin out in my room after I got back. Giving you a warm welcome on your return. lol something like that. My friends seem to like hanging out in my room for some odd reason, despite the fact that it's a cluttered mess. It's probably because I usually have the door propped open so they just walk in. Perfect for a soon-to-be-teacher. BTW... you sure are up early today. Yeah, I had to be up at 6 so I could get to the middle school by 7:30. Only two more days of that. Which is nice because I won't have to get up at 6, but sad because I like working with the middle school kids. Today I get to go back home for thanksgiving break, so I've got lots of packing/cleaning to do. The packing/cleaning will go fast... especially with thoughts of being home. And will you see Phil? I know you said winter break, but you didn't mention Turkey Day. Nah, he's headed out of state tomorrow to visit with family for Thanksgiving. (Hence why I wanted to see him over the weekend). Cheesey: Keep in mind, people who go to college with friends from high school don't always stay friends, or at least not as close friends. Don't pick colleges just because of where your friends are going. I knew no one at my college when I got there, and the friends I've made are the best friends I've ever had. Just something to keep in mind. Oh, and college is tons of fun, as long as you don't mess it up with stupid drama and alcohol abuse (the two often seem to go hand in hand, actually). I really don't see why people think drinking is so much fun when they don't remember most of it the next day. Sorry to hear Phil will be away. Just a quiet Turkey Day with the family and friends.
