Growing up is such a pain. Having a dog is a huge responsibility. You have to take care of your dog 24 hours per day. It is not like a cat where there is a litter box. Annie needs to be walked and sometimes this can be frustrating, especially when you don't feel like getting up and heading out into the cold, snow or rain. You will be off to college soon and the responsibility will then fall on your parents. So, just hold on. If you can do this, here is what I recommend with your mother. If your mother asks you to do something, please try and accommodate her wishes. When she asks, her intent is probably (and I can only guess) that you do it when she asks. If she wanted you to do it later, she would say something such as, "Would you please get this accomplished today." So when you ask if you can do it later, she perceives this as confrontational and argumentative. So, to alleviate the stress, just stop what you are doing and do what she has asked. As for correcting your mother on something, this is not worth it, unless you are getting in trouble for whatever it is. If she won't listen, then don't bother to bring it up. You may feel it is important to correct her thinking, but if she won't listen, then it does not matter that you are trying to set the record straight. So, my suggestion is to just tell yourself that you will be going to college soon and things will be better once you are there. As for your brother... stuff something in his mouth. That is, if you could get close enough without him retaliating.

Thanks for the reviews! I want to see Last Chance Harvey. Seems like a great movie for the afternoon. After hearing about some kids who tried the car trick with their dog, ended up killing the dog when he couldn't keep up and the car ran over his head. So, I will not give any of my money to this film. Even if it did have a happy ending. How irresponsible of the film company to not think people would try some of the stunts they saw. Poor dog. I cannot imagine what those stupid people were thinking.
