  1. There is a new poll for everyone... please vote and all responses are welcomed. As for the names... Hercule is the name for the long-haired Teddy Panda hamster. Horst is the name for the short-haired Panda hamster. Pictures to follow, as soon as they slow down a little and the photographs don't all come out blurry.
  2. Now that the sun has had a chance to melt some of the snow, here is an updated picture of that same poplar tree.
  3. Okay... here is the Sunday update. Had a really ucky snowstorm. First it was rain, then a little snow, then a LOT of snow, then it turned to sleety-snow which was coming down in the size of tennis balls. Well, not quite that large. But, I was out buying hamster supplies and when I walked into the pet store, it was just light rain. Not in there very long, it was sleety-snowing so hard that I could not get the entire back windshield cleaned off until the side I started on was almost obscured again. After this, I went straight home. This then turned to fine snow and the temperature starting dropping. Freezing temperatures, wind and more snow. A truly awful mess. The whole thing froze with the ice covered up by snow. Anyway, here is a picture of one of my bushes and a poplar tree. The poor daffodils are under the snow. Hope they make it. Now here a picture of my new family members.
  4. I forgot to mention that he has some friends in high places, and there are several good leads available. We'll recover from this in less than 2 months, I deem. The half-written plan is that by 2 or 3 weeks, by the end of March, he'll choose which one is most awesome and we'll move there. Even if its just on the other side of town. so This wont be a lasting incident. He's a... process engineer, i think you call it. Major in chemistry, minor in geology, so he's worked with cement/concrete plants, made custom ceramic bricks for steel factories, and does some management work so he signs the piece of paper that says 'your bridge wont fall over :D' With the right resources, he can pretty much make any sort of rock/sand/stone stuff with many different attributes, like being lightweight and being able to withstand some 1,000C degrees. or being like, nigh-on indestructible. Granted, its not very cheap, but he can do it. I guess there are just plenty of structures already built, and construction joints that need that kind of concrete are going downhill, or something. This isnt the first time thats happened. ... the.. the laying off. so What he's looking forward to doing is working with ISO, something like the International Standards Organization so he'd go to everyone elses cement plants and survey their machines and products and make sure everything's fine and dandy. He likes travelling, so that'd work well for him. but yeah, he's got some good leads, somewhere up in Tennessee was offering like 90k a year. which would be nice. Also: Katman's dad earns like 300 awesome-points for covering for everyone with 3 jobs. And it didnt snow here. D: at all. I think they forgot Winter was supposed to happen. Oh my goodness!!! Your father sounds so very smart and things will happen for him. This is good news on the way. Thank you for the update. Kat's father is another incredible man. He is working so hard to take care of his family. This is honorable and we need to award him with The Red Rose Award. Hopefully Obama's economic plan and the health care plan will succeed and things will start turning around.

    My place. :)

Life sounds jam-packed and going well. Say hi to Phil for us. Sorry you both are missing each other. Spring break will be here before you know it . Keep up the good work. At least you have figured out how to manipulate your schedule for the summer and fall. Glad to see you popped in an posted. Was wondering how life was treating you. As for the snow... ...it hit Memphis. Sleet, really wet, heavy snow, followed by three plus inches of dry snow, freezing overnight. What an awful mess. Jesusfreak... you can have all the snow.
  6. oh yes, my mom doesn't know about this boy, either. because i'm not allowed to date him because he's 19 and out of high school. ): so shhh! haha...please don't tell my madre. (: That would never happen. Our lips are sealed!!!

At least he is back on track. Life is hard for young people. It does get better. Your life sounds like it is really going in the right direction. The bass... fantastic! Hope you end up in the band. Not much here, we do have lots of people who still come around. Hope you don't disappear again. Horatio
  8. Arkcher... I am so sorry to hear about your father. What kind of work does he do? We will be keeping him, you and your family in our thoughts, heart and prayers. May he find a new job soon!

  12. TBFOF... how horrible. With all the cures for different diseases... you would think they could find a cure for migraines. I am so sorry. If there was something I could do to help, I certainly would do it immediately. Please get better soon. Just came up with a very dumb idea, but have you ever made a food/activities log? Perhaps you could discover some clues that you are unable to remember when you go to the doctor's office.
  13. LOL This is the start of one of those reality true crime shows.
  14. Have you made one for me??? Where are the pictures?
  15. Interesting news. A month alone... I hope she makes it. If you have the time and can interact with her, even if you put her in a ball, then she will feel like she has some social interaction. Just watch the ball if your floor is drafty. This would not be a good idea if she could catch a cold on top of the virus. One-half hour is the most she could stand in the ball, but I'm not so sure I would do that if you have a drafty floor. Baby rats... now this is a really great idea if your albino makes it.
  16. I've read this a few times. It is a little different, but I really like the Christmas CD.
  17. LOL I had a feeling that was exactly what you were doing... torturing the guests. LOL I agree, tintinnabulation is a great word.
  18. Nice job! Lion King rocks. (Of course, I'm a bit biased...) ~Liz Hmmm, I didn't remember the Lion King CD having a red oval with radiating red lines? Would someone be trying to send a message? LOL Who, me? ~Liz LOL LOL
