  4. well, I proposed Nirvana's Nevermind as a topic. but they seem to have ignored me. Actually your idea is a terrific idea for a topic. *runs off to brew a pot of coffee* *~*The Grand Illusion*~*The Final Cut*~* I don't know very much about 90's music, so I might not parcipitate in that debate. I might watch, though. =D *~*The Psychedelic Luau*~*The Astronomy Domine*~* We could debate on how to solve various problems around the country. But, TGHL might have a little difficulty if we do that. XP Actually I think TGHL might do quite well. He is extremely versed in American politics and current affairs. true. but is he well versed in the american psyche? We can find that out when he enters the debate! indubitably. 0.0

  9. I was out walking around late at night with a friend, when all of a sudden a car pulled up next to us. Some emo/skater kid asked us if we were looking for some green . funnies
  10. 1. It is of milk. 2. I believe so, but if I am to be good at rambling, this requires practice. I do this often by debating with my friends and giving them long answers, leaving them shocked and unable to reply. I always win arguments with them, or they tire of arguing with me and say things such as, "Well, we each have our own definitions." One time I was debating with my friend about whether she seemed more democrat-like or republican-like. I won! Although, it was late at night, she was tired, and I was hyper. If I were to debate with an adult, they would say respect your elders once I started winning. Actually, this has happened before. Is there something wrong with losing an argument? No, people just have way too much pride and can't handle losing at anything because they lack enough intelligence to give up before they dig themselves into a deeper whole. This would be gambling. 3. Is that last paragraph not proof enough? Or must I ramble some more? I do not believe I need to ramble anymore, as that last paragraph was quite a bit of proof, don't you agree? Yes, you do. 4. Yes. 5. I believe so. lookie up der. ^
  11. With debating religion, sex and politics. So, why do people feel a need to convince everyone that their way of thinking is the only way to think? not that it is the only way, just the only correct way.
  12. Cheesus

    I Need to Vent.

And exactly what category would that be??? straight guys that don't always have sex on the brain.
  13. Cheesus

    I Need to Vent.

Wow, so everyone here thinks that I alsways have sex on the brain? cause i am a guy afterall... But that was a really stereotypical thing, back there. Just cause most guys a lot of guys all crave it, doesn't mean that we all do. And I am straight, so that puts me in a whole new catagory, according to toto.
  14. I do not have any proof in favor of a creator, but I see no proof against a creator either. I still don't understand where the contradiction is between science and the concept of a creator. I think the two go hand-in-hand. Actually I might even go as far as to say that the creator expressed itself through science. Well...that's an artistic way of looking at it. It's all about faith, in the end. If you want to believe in a creator, then do it. If not, then don't think about it. All I can say about it is that the choice hasn't affected my appreciation of the sciences. Yeah, the thing is that when it comes down to it, you believe in it or you don't, and it would take something HUGE to change your mind. Or mine. Tht is the major problem with debating religion. XP
  15. You can't prove anything in the past to be scientifically true, because the scientific method is to run several trials, which cannot be done with history. Therefore it is NOT against science reasoning to suggest that at one point the laws of matter did not exist, or were perhaps different than the laws we live by. And science cannot prove that laws withold the test of such a large span of time, because again that cannot be tested through trials. Although I guess we could find out by using a time capsule and waiting billions of years, and then repeat that several times and check the results. But not many people are willing to do this, and we don't know the specific time frame we're working with, since who knows how long the universe was actually created? If you want to talk about scientific knowledge, you need to talk about experiments...experimenting is the basis of science. And, until we build a time machine, science cannot be applied to abstract past events. Science is irrelevent to the creation of the universe. It has everything to do with the creation of the universe. True, we may not be able to expiriment as to whether or not they were true for the entirety of time, we can speculate and hypothesize based upon what we see now. Also, there would be no reason for them to have been different. We can study things from billions of years ago, that have the light from them reaching us just now, an we see no difference at all. It may be a hypothesis, but it has some scientific backing. It isn't some fantasy of some omniscient guy who stalks everyone and decides if he likes them or not, and can just crate stuff at will. You still haven't given me any proof in favor of a creator. And no, quoting the bible or something won't convince me.
  16. Ah, but what if this creator, created the law of matter itself? How about all scientific laws for that matter? When you use the term "creator," you can't box them into a set of doctines, because they might have created the box, too. okay, if, hypothetically, someone created the laws(not just discovered them)they are still there, and therefor have to be followed. Are they still there, or where they not there yet? Perhaps the creation of the universe and the creation of the laws took place at the same time. Or, did the laws appear afterward? Or perhap the creator had the law not to apply to himself; after all, he has control over it. Your argument doesn't hold up because you don't know if those laws applied during the creation of the universe, or if the creator "bent" them in his favor. Yours doesn't hold up because it goes against all scientific knowledge. Stuff that has been proven to be true. What is the evidence you find that a creator exists. And also, the laws of matter weren't created, they just are.

  18. kinda hard ot debate about an in the middle debate. I like your proposal about no religion being right or wrong, however, most of them are wrong. ACtually, I can't really say that, as I don't know enough about religions other than christianity. I can say that all of those who believe in a creator are wrng, because matter can neither be created or destroyed, so some guy couldn't have just been lik, "okay, I think I will put a planet hee" and poof, there is a planet. You my friend, have created a nightmare. I have? is this a good or bad thing? what exactly is the nightmare?

  20. I am in a similat position. I too have a crush on a girl. (some of you had heard about this a hwile ago. I know, i shouldn't crush on someone for soo long.) And I only do the loops inside as well. We are good friends, though I want to be more. As for your number two, i prolly do exxagerate her perks, but she doesn't have any faults! =D actually, she has a few, but I can't really name them. ack, love is so difficult. Hehe, yeah. I know I'm downplaying her faults because I can't find any. Even if I know that she has some I can wait to be older. i can wait as well. i have been waiting for a while, so I am used to it.
  21. So, what's your main problem here? That your relationships don't last long or that the girls are expecting too much out of you? Hmm... I can't really answer until I really know what your problem is. *ponders* That I can't get into a relationship that last long. No one I meet wants to have a relationship. It's only "see who can make out with Nick the longest". Have you ever considered just going out, having a good time, but not doing anything? Then you would find who wanted to be in your company and it would have nothing to do with how long they could make out with you. the problem is, it will be hard to drop his reputation, which is bringing in these girls.
  22. You have an abnormal theatre? Yes. It's strange. LOL Would this be a California thing? LOL Sure, why not. :ninja: Things always happen in California first, so I am preparing for when it gets here. LOL Tell me what it's like when it gets there, I want to know so I can ready my defences (if needed) here in Aus. LOL Sure, I can do that. LOL Good, good. Now, in the meantime, to save myself from the squirrels! *hides* Squirrels are my friends. Why are you hiding? They're out to get me... And they stole the cashews I was eating! *gets some more* Chocolate covered cashews! *takes some cashews down to the other forum where the chocolate fondue party is occurring* Good idea! I'll bring some other nuts too. And if those nut-stealing squirrels try to steal them, they get fondued You had better be careful... those nut-stealing squirrels of which you speak are my distant cousins. We are all in the rodentia family. *thinks about calling in a couple flocks of worm eating birds to give Glowurm something to think about* LOL *thinks about his house, and how much he loves being in it and all it's closed windows and doors* *reminds him just how excellent rodents are at digging* That's why there are squirrels here. But birds aren't as good at digging, so I'm safe :ninja: ...And I could always get some owls to pay a visit to your cage in response to the wurm-eating birds Some of the owl breeds don't eat wurms. LOL You will have to find an owl that is bigger than my great-horned owl buddies. There is a family of four right outside my cage and we are great friends. LOL And you can forget about hawks... we have some hawk friends as well. Tomorrow I will post a pic of the beaks on the wurm-eating birds. Hmm. Well then. *amasses an army of cats to eat the birds* I should take a pic of my murderous cat. She's stealthy, like a :ninja:. Not many birds, rodents or lizards live long around our house. A murderous cat? *decides to call-in some dogs, some really, really big dogs* *gets some lions, tigres, cheetahs, leopards, and verious other big cats* *also gets some help from the three bears in the woods. You know, the ones that threatened goldielocks* *gets the ultimate terrorist group... the New York City Subway Rat* LOL Ahhhh! I can't compete with that! *burrows underground to hide* *laughs* No one can! Hey, wait a minute, you don't even know where I live! *surfaces* *gets out crystal ball and sees the Glowurm at home, looks at the flashing GPS coordinates* *reburrows and moves to a random african country, stays uderground* *thinks about a new and improved strategy* well, you could blow up the entirety of africa. Just kidding for any gov't officials that will see this and think we are terrorists. >.>
