  1. What did you last search for (if you can remember - check your history!)? If you don't use Google, don't pick me up on it, just let us know what you last searched for. My last search was "songs about eagles" so I can find a quote to put in my signature. Of course, it only came up with songs BY The Eagles.
  2. Granted, but when you perform a slam-dunk your hand gets stuck to the hoop, leaving you dangling. I wish I had some chocolate right now.
  3. SInce you're talking about hamsters, I thought I'd mention that I heard on the radio today that this one guy is giving his girlfriend a hamster for Valentine's Day. How inspired!
  4. A film you should NOT watch is "Paul Blart: Mall Cop". It was so bad I do not have words for it. I'd prefer to have my beak removed without anaesthetic to watching this film again.
  5. We won't judge you. You just happen to be on Memphis time. So... you got up at 08H00. My EST friends think I'm really bizarre. I justt had another riding lesson. I've ridden Flo every time and I'm getting better. You make me want to go riding, but at the moment I am at work. Maybe you could try to do both at the same time? That would be REAL skill!
  6. WHY ARE PIRATES CALLED PIRATES? THEY JUST Y'AAARRRR! NOT AS FUNNY AS WHEN IT'S SPOKEN OUT LOUD, BUT YOU GET THE IDEA.

    Jesse's topic

That's if your radar was working. Do you fly IFR? Don't need it. Eagle eyes. Those Eagle Eyes can see through clouds? I have portable foglights strapped to my head. LOL LOL Now that's a good idea. Do they get heavy? How about heat? Do they get hot? They were made by NASA because I am very, very important. Are you one of their test pilots? I was the first eagle into space, which I am very proud of. Of course, when I come back into the atmosphere they say "The eagle has landed". Da boom tsh. ROFOCLH!!!!!!!! *hands LifesEagle The Double Gold Star Award* There's no way I can top that one!!! LOL I just noticed this post! Thank you very much, I'm glad I made you laugh with a really weak joke. But I like really weak jokes and bad puns, so they often appear a lot in my conversation.
  8. I'm excited because I have booked tickets to see the stage production of His Dark Materials. Well, the TWO productions, as they split the play in half. Again, I got cheap tickets, so pray it snows on those days because I get better seats! As I mentioned in another thread, I went riding again today, which was great because it wasn't THAT cold even those some snow remained that refuses to thaw. I had a good lesson with a very excited horse: the riding school had no lessons last week because of the dreadful snow we had so this week the horses have been eager to run around a bit. One of the assistants that runs around leading the horses if the riders need steering help/setting up poles is always teasing me and I tease back, so it's kinda nice to be getting to know the people there. I keep sleeping in. I'm trying to get my body clock on normal time but failing. Stupid nocturnality!
  9. I saw "Man on Wire" last night. It's about Philippe Petit, the man who constructed a tightrope between the two World Trade Centre towers and walked across in 1974. It's an amazing documentary and it shows how if you have a dream you must go for it, which is really inspiring. It is also very cleverly done as there is a lot of footage of the construction of the towers: the director said that the footage was included to juxtapose against all the footage of the 9/11 excavation, showing the creation of the buildings rather than their destruction. The images of this man balanced on a wire 1368 ft in the air is just pheonominal. I really recommend this to anyone who needs some inspiration.

  11. I just came back from seeing a Buster Keaton double featre, namely "Sherlock Jr." and "The General". I couldn't stop laughing, they are SO funny!
  12. It's an old one as far as I can tell as it's the world premiere version. I saw Sunset Boulevard in the WEst End last week and I was completely bowled over by it (I usually think Lloyd Webber is EXTREMELY overrated and no where near as good as everybody says but I DID enjoy this one). Right now my song is the title song from said musical by Kevin Anderson. When you see Patti LuPone on stage, she is not a big woman, but when she starts to sing... whoaaaaaaaaa, what a powerful voice!!! You do not expect such a powerful, vibrant voice to come from a petite woman! I sure do love a belter: I have seen many, MANY musicals over the past few months and I am now a fan of Barbara Streisand, Judy Garland and Liza Minelli amongst others for their belting prowess. THey just blow me away. In the spirit of this, I'm currently listening to "Cabaret" by good old Liza Minelli.
  13. Yeah, I kinda failed at the eyes. I joke that her eyes are too squinty to make much of them.
  14. Latest news from me? Well, I've done nothing but stay in my room for the past few days. As my best friend says: "Must de-hermit self". But I HAVE seen some great films over the past few days. I saw an amazing production of "An Inspector Calls" last Monday: I went on my own because I couldn't find anyone to go with but it didn't matter. When I boked the tickets the show was sold out but over half the audience didn't turn up because of the worsd snowfall Britain has seen in years. I'm not complaining: I was allowed to move to a MUCH better seat then the one I had bought for a really cheap price!
  15. I know how you feel. The movie version makes me claw at the walls. 16. Wow...I totally never knew of this screen. ~Liz I use it to spy on people. *cough, cough* Would you like some cough syrup?
  17. I THINK YOU MUST HAVE SOME PENT UP ANGER, HORATIO, IF YOU'RE BUSY THROWING AWARDS AT PEOPLE INSTEAD OF HANDING THEM OVER NORMALLY.
  18. These clouds are naughty. They just love to snow all day And so I'm snowed in. Pity me.
  19. I've been drawing... badly. I decided to draw two pictures of my best friend just out of boredom. The first one (the one with the small photo attached) is much better than the other one (with big photo), methinks. Are they any good? I'm not so good at drawing, origami is more my style.
  20. With One Look - Patti LuPone - Sunset Blvd. This song gives me goosebumps.
  21. We have had the worst snow in many years over the past two days or so. My parents sent me these photos from home. The buried object that seems to have no shape is my car, buried completely in the snow. There is also a picture of my cat looking very confused indeed!
  22. Wonderful quote! Voltaire... writer extraordinaire!!! Yes, it is indeed a wonderful quote! If you just read through a list of his quotes you get such a huge wave of atheism and anti-war that you wish he was alive now to be involved in American politics!
  23. You are soooo dedicated! I know, but I don't mind so much. Actually, yesterday one of the London Underground lines was down for repairs so I had to take a different route, so it was something like 5-6 trains. Why must London be so busy? And I was sleeping, avoiding going out in the snow.
