  1. Today was mostly boring. I spent most of the day on maplestory (I was going to go down an apply for a job, but as soon as I signed on, someone wanted me to train with them >_<). I got to talk to Phil for like 15 minutes before I had to leave to help with VBS decorations. When I drove down to church, it was POURING. I got soaked just going from the front door to the car, and my car was right next to the door. And on the way there something very very close to me got hit by lightning, and it was loud. And I had to put my windshield wipers on really fast, which for some reason amused me. When I got back home and back online I got to talk to Phil for only a short while before he had to sign off, and he didn't make it back on. However, I might be able to hang out with him tomorrow afternoon. He has tomorrow off, and is going to the mall with family in the morning, but said he should be free for the rest of the day. If he ends up not being free, I'll go down and apply for that job. Tomorrow my family is all headed up to camp. I'll be going up on my own on Friday with the van. I have to make sure I've got directions to get there. But, we'll see what happens.
  2. What the monkeywrench? That makes NO sense whatsoever.
  3. i don't anymore...i used to lip balm is awesome. i wear strawberry chapstick ~Liz Me too. I don't have the time or patience for makeup.
  4. I'm pretty convinced that, given the time, money, and equipment, my dad could fix just about anything. I'll sit and watch, or have dad tell me what to do, because I'd love to be able to fix my own car as well. And I didn't get my license until just this past October when I was still 19, so don't feel bad. In CT, once you turn 18 you don't need your permit or driver's ed or that alcohol safety class anymore.
  5. I know. >_< I freaked when I got home and realized gas was over $4 a gallon. (It was less than that when I left NJ in May) My bike gets 78 miles to a gallon. That's awesome! My car gets close to 30 I think. Or at least it used to. Since the check engine light went on, it seems to be going through gas faster. We figure one of the sensors in the engine probably got crudded up, so the car isn't running as efficiently as it should. I guess your father is going to be doing a little mechanic work before you head back to school. Oh that's a given. Hopefully sometime like this week Dad's going to look at a few things and replace the spark plugs, and at some point this summer the engine needs to come apart. Not fun, but you have to do what you have to do.
  6. No, no, no... rants are good. I liked reading your rant, because I think you have a definite point. Yeah, I think everyone hates those tests. We have to pass them to graduate now too. The nice thing about taking them sophomore year is you get three chances to pass it. Although the test was really easy for me. My friend and I kept finishing early, so one day I brought in a bunch of glitter gel and when we were finished, basically covered him in it while we waited for everyone else to finish.

  9. Today was fun. Jenny and I had to go out shopping to a number of places including the grocery store, where we ended up with less than 10 items and got to see Phil. It was a slow day, and Phil got to leave early, so I drove him home instead of him getting a ride with someone else (although we stopped at my house for a short while to drop off the groceries and hang out for a few minutes). It was nice to hang out with him, even if it was only for a little bit.
  10. Last night I had an odd but pleasant dream that I was dancing with Phil, but most of the time my eyes were closed and I was half asleep, and was following him mostly by instinct, and not doing too badly. I don't remember there being any music. And I might have been wearing an old fashioned nightgown for some reason. It was very peaceful, but I still had the butterflies in my stomach feeling a little bit. So, it was interesting.
  11. I bet if you had eleven items, you would have put one back on the shelf. Only if it wasn't something mom put on the list. Either that or I might have gone through the line anyways, depending on how busy it is. When I told him I had exactly 10 items he said, "I don't care how many items go through my line." Maybe he doesn't care, but the people in line behind me might have had different sentiments. He also said something about how my being there would probably be the highlight of his day. I'll have to find a good reason to go down there again this week, since he has really crappy hours this week (11-5, he hates getting out that late).

    Jesse's topic

Yep. I heard thunder and looked at the radar and was like, "Oh look, giant band of pretty colors is about to go omnomnom to our state." The red band of doom almost completely covered us up When does this end? We almost lost power at some points but we never completely did. Phew... Our power flickered just enough to knock out my internet for a bit.

  14. Yesterday I went to church, came home, and was promptly sent back out to get groceries so mom could make meat loaf and lemon cake for dad for father's day (mom had neglected to give me a shopping list and debit card before I left for church ) Not that I was complaining. I ended up with exactly 10 items, so I was able to go through Phil's line (they've had him working the 10 items or fewer lane lately), and he was quite happy to see me. For father's day I got my dad a t-shirt that says "I scare my own family," a pool chair, and some candy. Jenny got him a CD that he had been looking for.
  15. lol I sent the poem to Phil in a facebook message (usually I post these in notes for all to see, but I didn't want people harassing me about it). And when we were on maplestory I told him I wrote a poem and sent it to him on facebook. So he said something like, "o.o *goes to look*" and I told him that it was short. After reading it, he came back and said, "short, sweet, and to the point <3333333333333" or something to that effect. Nice response! I thought so.
  16. You took a really fantastic picture. Phil looks great. Thanks. lol looking back on the day and the pictures is kinda funny now. I'm pretty sure Phil has wanted to kiss me for awhile, and in a lot of the pictures I have, the expression on his face just seems to say, "Will you just stop taking pictures and kiss me already?" or "I want to kiss you but I'm not quite sure how to go about it or if you feel the same way." I pick choice one. lol I think it was probably a combination of the two.

  19. You could, but also consider the types of CDs seventeen is likely to send you. *shudders* Hmmm...I could ask for specifics, but I have doubts that Seventeen would have heard of Pink Floyd and Wolfmother. :/ If they haven't heard of Pink Floyd, they've been living in a cave. Even I know about Pink Floyd, and that's saying something.
  20. This quite obviously warranted a poem: "First Kiss" First kiss, soft lips, heart beat drumming, been a long time coming. "You want something" I suppose it's true, you know what I want? only you.
  21. This picture was taken shortly before we kissed. I put it up on facebook with the caption, "There are lot of things I could say about this picture, but for the sake of most of the people reading these captions, I'll keep them to myself, and just say I really like this picture. XD" Phil promptly made it his profile picture.
  22. They sent us home from school early because of the heat. ~Liz Wow. On the news tonight they were saying extreme heat warnings and early dismissals around here too. o.o Tomorrow Phil is hopefully going to come over, and there will be swimming, because it's supposed to be 91 degrees tomorrow. You northern guys are such wimps... we have mid-to-high ninety temperatures all summer long. It was 107 with the heat index Monday. We were one of the only schools in the area that was not sent home. And we do not even have air conditioning. It was a nightmare. Ew. >_<
  23. Outstanding!!! Now that you are awake and well rested... how about a summary? LOL Oh yes. It was fun times. We took the minivan, because although my car probably would have made it up there and back with no troubles, I would just worry about it, and I'm pretty sure the check engine light makes Phil nervous. We got there early, so parking wasn't a problem (I HATE parking the minivan), and we got through lines quickly because it was a weekday and it wasn't super-crowded. Phil likes all the big roller coasters like I do, so we went on those (including superman, which Phil used to not like because the last time he went on it, his mom had a panic attack on the way up and tried to jump out. But now Phil likes superman because it's an awesome roller coaster). And we spent a lot of time in the water park (half of which was closed for some odd reason, but it was still lots of fun). We also finally kissed for the first time. (which is kind of interesting, because on Wednesday morning (which happened to be two months from when he asked me out), I had a dream that I kissed him.) When we were done with 6 Flags for the day, we went to blockbuster so Phil could say hi to his mom (she works there), and to the grocery store so he could get his work schedule for the week, and then we went back to his house and had Italian ice and watched a movie (The Bucket List, awesome movie) with his grandmother and sister. And then he walked me out to the car, and the sky was gorgeous with the stars, and a few clouds lit up by the moon. Life is good!!!!!! Yep.
  24. SWEET! Can I come? Sure. I'm getting a second bike. We'll have to work it in before you go back to school. What charity do you think we should ride for? lol I was just playing around about my joining you, I've got way too much going on right now. Although I'd love to do something similar at some point in my life or another. A charity.....possible ideas include scholarship funds, research funds, how about the make-a-wish foundation? They're pretty awesome. Ohhhhhhhh. This won't happen too soon as I need to do some preparation and planning. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a group I really like, I was also thinking of the March of Dimes. March of Dimes is another really good one. I'm trying to think of other good ones, but I'm drawing a blank.
