  1. Also if you google "stop cutting" the first result is an excellent wikihow article. This is one of the ideas towards the end of the article that I really liked for some odd reason, "The butterfly project. When you have the urge to cut draw a butterfly where you want to cut. Now you don't want the butterfly to die so it has to wear off into the wild to be free. In this time you have to hold the urge to cut and if you do cut wash the butterfly away because it didn't make it to be free in the wild."
  2. I suggest that you talk to someone (even if it's just us) about the things that are bothering you so much, like the bad news from friends and such. Talking about these things can sort of help you sort them out in your mind so they don't stress you so much. Also, like we've been saying before, get professional help. I know it's a hassle and all, but it really is worth it. I'm also going to restate the idea of finding some functionally equivalent substitute for cutting. The reason cutting makes you feel better is because it releases endorphins, the "feel good" chemicals in your brain. However, there are lots of other less destructive ways to release endorphins, such as eating chocolate and exercising. If you google endorphins, the second result has 10 ways to release endorphins: 1. Eat a chili pepper 2. Think positive thoughts (which is good for your mental heath in general) 3. Work out 4. Have an o...... (am I allowed to say that here? ) 5. Get moved (watch a touching movie, read a good book, listen to inspiring music, or something like that) 6. Acupuncture (I'm not brave enough for that one lol) 7. Eat chocolate 8. Be afraid (go on a scary roller coaster or watch a scary movie) 9. Go out in sunlight 10. Laugh (watch a funny movie, find some good jokes, etc. Youtube is great for that)
  3. Ohyeah, my topic. My Thanksgiving was fun. We went out to dinner with half of Mom's side of the family, and then some of us went swimming in the pool at the hotel. I had to drive myself to the hotel from college, and beat my family there by about 10 minutes. Yesterday I went out shopping with my sister, which was really draining because the mall was packed. Phil texted me while I was there saying he was coming home that day, but would probably be going straight to sleep because he was tired. I suggested that maybe I'd visit him at college today since Jenny had to be driven up there anyways, and he said that it would be good to see me if I'm on campus, but that he had a tough exam to study for and probably wouldn't seem excited and would probably be in a bad mood because of the exam and tiredness. So naturally that put me in a bad mood. However, a little while after I got home, Phil IM'd me in a much better mood (since he had slept on the way home), and we made plans to meet up for dinner tonight. It turns out he was so tired and cranky before because he had been up until 5am with his cousin the night before. He also said that it turns out he didn't need the whole day to study, and he's going to study after dinner. So, I'm excited because I get to see Phil today! After I get my paper done anyways..... Then tomorrow I have to drive back to college.
  4. lol yeah, I should have added that Maplestory (much like world of warcraft, which I *don't* play) can take over your life if you're not careful.
  5. Haha really? Most people here still just drink soda. I guess it's gaining in popularity because it has no sugar and people are over-obsessed with weight loss.
  6. GROUP HUG!!!!!!! Yeah, I agree with Horatio about the sleeping. I know I tend to get in a really bad mood if I'm too tired, and Phil is the same way. If you're having trouble sleeping all the time, perhaps look up different methods to fall asleep (I've heard things like establishing a bedtime routine, listening to quiet music, using the bed only for sleeping, and making sure it's dark in the room can really help). If those things don't work, you might want to talk to a doctor about perhaps getting some sleep aids (even if it's something like tylenol PM). If you need something to distract yourself at random hours of the day, join me on maplestory! And make your character in Windia...
  7. lol I grew up drinking water, and I feel sick if I don't drink water for too long.
  8. Ideas to stop cutting: Be around people, eat chocolate instead, or keep a rubber band around your wrist and snap it against your skin instead.

lol yeah. People have done twin studies on homosexuality which suggest that there is a genetic component to it.
  10. ROFL "arsenic" LE you get a fish award for that. Anyways, I'm not a soda person. I'm a big fan of water.

The psych major is pretty sure that the "gay men have negligent fathers" thing is rubbish. And I also I have a youtube video to send you, hehe....
  12. A lot of times getting up and doing something (even if it's just cleaning) helps me if I'm in a bad mood or feeling depressed. And don't worry too much about friends. If you go out and do the things you love, you're bound to run into people who love the same things.
  13. Had not thought of that... you are a genius. Let me find out more about this. lol My dad's done it a couple times just to check email. There might be a program you have to install on your computer, but I assume it's doable.
  14. Horatio, if you can get internet on your phone, can't you use your phone as a modem for your computer?
  15. As a psychology major, I also say to go find a doctor. Also, you say you're undesirable in the same breath that you talk about your friends. The fact that you have friends means that you're NOT undesirable! You would not have friends if you were completely undesirable.
  16. "Sea kittens?" Really? What are these people on? I'm all for treating animals humanely, but peta takes things WAY too far.
  17. We do have a Target, but it's harder to get to and more expensive. >_<
  18. Yeah, I can't say I like how they do business, but around here it's what we have.

lol nice. In this day and age, *most* people won't think it's a big deal.
  20. Rite Aid... they have strawberry chapstick. lol I don't know where there's a Rite Aid around here, but wal-mart should have it. I wasn't looking too hard last time I was there. I wouldn't step foot into Wal-mart. Even for Phil! Wal-mart is generally fast, cheap, and easy, so that's usually where I go. *is a broke college student*
  21. Only if it was hot water with a tea bag, lemon and honey in it. That works better for colds. True... or when indulging in light tea, tea served with scones, or afternoon tea, tea served with bread and butter. Or peppermint tea with honey and two candy canes melted into it. Oh, that sounds sooooo good! It is

  23. Today was nice. I don't have anything due until next Monday, so my day was spent getting some cleaning done, and just wandering around the internet, and playing DDR for a bit. Yesterday I managed to get some much-needed shopping done, which was good. I got everything I needed except strawberry chapstick, but I won't need that for awhile since it's for Phil. (I wear strawberry chapstick, and almost every time Phil sees me apply it, he kisses me and makes some comment about stealing my chapstick or something. So I want to get him his own thing of strawberry chapstick for when I'm not around to steal it from. )
